  1. The OS is PFSense. The NIC is an Intel I350. 8086:1521 07:00:0 07:00:1 07:00:2 07:00:3 <domain type='kvm'> <name>PFSense</name> <uuid>13ba092b-df1b-cc8a-e2bf-d544dff69a57</uuid> <metadata> <vmtemplate name="Custom" icon="freebsd.png" os="freebsd"/> </metadata> <memory unit='KiB'>4194304</memory> <currentMemory unit='KiB'>4194304</currentMemory> <memoryBacking> <nosharepages/> <locked/> </memoryBacking> <vcpu placement='static'>3</vcpu> <cputune> <vcpupin vcpu='0' cpuset='0'/> <vcpupin vcpu='1' cpuset='6'/> <vcpupin vcpu='2' cpuset='7'/> </cputune> <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='pc-q35-2.3'>hvm</type> </os> <features> <acpi/> <apic/> </features> <cpu mode='host-passthrough'> <topology sockets='1' cores='3' threads='1'/> </cpu> <clock offset='utc'> <timer name='rtc' tickpolicy='catchup'/> <timer name='pit' tickpolicy='delay'/> <timer name='hpet' present='no'/> </clock> <on_poweroff>destroy</on_poweroff> <on_reboot>restart</on_reboot> <on_crash>restart</on_crash> <devices> <emulator>/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64</emulator> <disk type='file' device='disk'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw' cache='writeback'/> <source file='/mnt/cache/vdisks/PFSense/vdisk1.img'/> <target dev='hdb' bus='virtio'/> <boot order='1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x04' function='0x0'/> </disk> <disk type='file' device='cdrom'> <driver name='qemu' type='raw'/> <source file='/mnt/user/ISOs/pfSense-CE-2.3.1-RELEASE-amd64.iso'/> <target dev='hda' bus='sata'/> <readonly/> <boot order='2'/> <address type='drive' controller='0' bus='0' target='0' unit='0'/> </disk> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-ehci1'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x02' function='0x7'/> </controller> <controller type='usb' index='0' model='ich9-uhci1'> <master startport='0'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x02' function='0x0' multifunction='on'/> </controller> <controller type='sata' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x1f' function='0x2'/> </controller> <controller type='pci' index='0' model='pcie-root'/> <controller type='pci' index='1' model='dmi-to-pci-bridge'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x1e' function='0x0'/> </controller> <controller type='pci' index='2' model='pci-bridge'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x01' slot='0x01' function='0x0'/> </controller> <controller type='virtio-serial' index='0'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x03' function='0x0'/> </controller> <interface type='bridge'> <mac address='52:54:00:d7:76:76'/> <source bridge='br0'/> <model type='virtio'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x01' function='0x0'/> </interface> <serial type='pty'> <target port='0'/> </serial> <console type='pty'> <target type='serial' port='0'/> </console> <channel type='unix'> <source mode='bind' path='/var/lib/libvirt/qemu/channel/target/PFSense.org.qemu.guest_agent.0'/> <target type='virtio' name='org.qemu.guest_agent.0'/> <address type='virtio-serial' controller='0' bus='0' port='1'/> </channel> <input type='tablet' bus='usb'/> <input type='mouse' bus='ps2'/> <input type='keyboard' bus='ps2'/> <graphics type='vnc' port='-1' autoport='yes' websocket='-1' listen='0.0.0.0' keymap='en-us'> <listen type='address' address='0.0.0.0'/> </graphics> <video> <model type='vmvga' vram='16384' heads='1'/> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x01' function='0x0'/> </video> <memballoon model='virtio'> <address type='pci' domain='0x0000' bus='0x02' slot='0x05' function='0x0'/> </memballoon> <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='pci' managed='yes'> <driver name='vfio'/> <source> <address domain='0x0000' bus='0x00' slot='0x07' function='0x0'/> </source> </hostdev> </devices> </domain> I want the Intel Quad NIC to be accessible only via PFSense. I followed John's instruction however only one port on the NIC comes through (igb0). Even when I selected PCIe ACS Override.
  2. Sorry to revive an old thread. But how do I pass through a NIC with multiple ports? I followed John's original post and can get the NIC to pass through however I only see one port, the other three are not available.
  3. Greetings all!! I have been a user of FreeNAS for a number of years but recently had quite a few problems after a disk failed. After seeing unRAID on Linus Tech Tips and some occasional comments on the FreeNAS community forums I thought I would give unRAID a try. I can say that I can't be happier, it's been extremly easy to set things up with multiple VMs and Plex. By running a Windows 10 VM with keyboard, mouse and graphics card pass through I have been able to reduce my physical PCs by one, which will be great for the power bill. Looking forward to getting to know the system better!!
  4. Is there a way to make a User Share a vDisk? I utilise OneDrive to provide cloud storage and access to documents I utilise for University. One Drive in Windows 10 does not allow networked drives to be the One Drive share so I am wondering whether I could make a Vdisk which the Windows VM could sync, on other PC I would like to be able to utilise a simple network share. Main reason I utilise OneDrive is that I have been grandfathered to 1TB of data and secondly it's easy for my wife to utilise. I would like to be able to do a VPN into my router however setting up OpenVPN is soemthign I find quite confusing. Especially generating keys.
  5. Yes I think that is the problem. The video card is showing as: 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 128b (rev a1) 01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GK208 HDMI/DP Audio Controller (rev a1) In the IOMMU groups that it showing in the same group as the CPU. I have been able to get the video card to work by selecting PCIe ACS Override however unRAID keeps telling me this is bad. Can I change what group the video card shows up in?
  6. How do I resolve this error? internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2016-05-14T04:31:09.760318Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: vfio: error, group 1 is not viable, please ensure all devices within the iommu_group are bound to their vfio bus driver. 2016-05-14T04:31:09.760337Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: vfio: failed to get group 1 2016-05-14T04:31:09.760344Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: Device initialization failed 2016-05-14T04:31:09.760350Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=01:00.0,bus=root.1,addr=00.0,multifunction=on,x-vga=on: Device 'vfio-pci' could not be initialized
  7. hello all, Earlier I needed to shutdown my unRAID box. I stopped the array from the main menu then did a shutdown. After restarting the device, then restarting the array my cache devices are gone. They now show as unassigned devices. As a a result my docker container is gone as it was on the cache drive. How do I get my cache back?
  8. Yep. Problem solved..tried a different USB key and now it works fine..odd
  9. Since I have nothing installed I pulled out the USB with unRAID installed, deleted everything on it and started again. First thing I did this time was went straight and changed the admin password, to qwerty12345 Same problem, password changes but the new one doesn't work. Something seems glitched with the O/S. Anyone experienced this? Also how come the I cant post a problem to the support sub forum? Admins only? Says I dont have permissions.
  10. Tried different browsers, as well as my laptop. The authentication dialog is saying the connection to the site is not private. Cleared all cache.
  11. Hi all. Switched from FreeNAS to unRAID yesterday. I went to the users section and changed the password from the default, was asked to re-login however the new password doesn't work. Other than assigning disks, letting parity complete, formatting disks and creating four user shares I have done nothing else. As I am unfamiliar with unRAID does the system require some sort of time delay for passwords to become effective? At the moment I cannot access the GUI with either my new password or the default.
