  1. Hey, i needed to change my Mainboard / Stick and unfortunatley, couldn't get a new board with enough sata ports. So i've opted to use an ASM1064 Extension Card. It's a 7 drive (2 Parity) Setup. (Ziyituod 4-Port SATA-Karte, PCIe 3.0 zu SATA – Non-RAID, Systemstartfähig – Plug & Play – (ASM1064-Chipsatz)) The system runs now for 2 weeks again without problems, but due to higher power usage i wanted to optimize my system a bit. Using powertop --auto-tune does fix a lot of "Tunables" in my system from Bad to Good. But it seems, this is a major issue for the extension card. I've done this twice now, and without any load (overnight) the drives connected to the card get to a "disabled" state. Forcine me to rebuild. I've three drives connected to this card. (Both Partitys and one Datadrive) Last night, /dev/sdh failed. (HGST_HUS728T8TALN6L4_VDGG474D) Is in rebuild progress now again. Does not make me feel comfortable, knowning that there are 3 drives connected and potentially all three could get to this disabled state doing so :) As i said, without auto-tune it did work for 2 weeks. Activating auto-tune, resulted in this issue within 24hour twice now. This is the Tuneables Output without Auto-Tune. 2. For the GT710, are there any caveats like the "order" when a driver has to be installed? or can i simply switch around the "8 combos" and test, unless it works?
  3. Thanks for all the additional input. I'm not really into this game, and this give me lots of topics i can read / google into. But basically, i just wanted W11 for simple Office/Coding tasks to be smooth. And for whatever reason, it is not via RDP on LAN. (W10 was for me) So i figured, i give that task-bar a bit of GPU support with the old 710 lying around. Probably also an option to migrate to an iGPU for AM4 (5700G) or even switching to a newer Plattform? I would preferably keep a GPU out of my Unraid for power reasons. And i do not have any need for workstation workloads like rendering/encoding/gaming.
  4. hey, maybe you can help me out. My WIN11 VM is terribly slow compared to my old WIN10 system. Therefore, wanted to passthrough my GT710 aswell. But i'm unable to fix the code 43 issue. So far, i've tried to optize my kvm settings to "hide vm existance". Wanted to not touch Bios :/ Would love if you can help me out, what you did with bios etc. Or any link to a Guide would help me out big time. Can give you Feedback if it did accelerate anything on my side.
  5. switched from virtio-win-0.1.126_stable to virtio-win-0.1.185.iso. Installed with now included "virtio-win-gt-x64.msi" installer. Network improved now to Vm-To-Host: 9.x GBit/s Host-To-VM: 7.x GBit/s so issue solved by driver updates and got a really good improvement too. Issue solved for me.
  6. thank you very much. <3 that should proof pretty much that i'm on the right track and it's not normal behaviour.
  7. can anyone may test the those iperf benchmarks on their maschine? couldn't find any reverse-test so far, and would be good to know if the speeds should be faster.
  8. Hi guys, I think i do need a little help to further trace my current network issues. Details Unraid-OS: Version: 6.8.3 Network-Settings on Unraid HOST: Bonding: no Bridging: yes Bridging-Members: eth0 IPv4 Only All IPs / gateways are static Local DNS Server on Router. MTU: 1500 Vlans: no Where i'm coming from In summary, i do host a database as docker on my unraid machine. Storage is on the cache NVME drive. Now i have a bunch of operations that should take around 20 seconds to execute. Now i wanted to excess this docker-container from within a a Win10-VM running on the same Unraid Host, which took about 15 minutes. Accessing the same docker-database from an external workstation, it takes the estimated 20 seconds. So from my point of view, it's not: - the storage / hardware ressources - the docker container - the database system After some searching, i do think it is related to the network. So i tested the connections speeds with iPerf. As you can see, the network speeds from VM => Host are totally fine with 3.66Gbit/sec. But the reverse-Connection Host => VM is utterly garbage. And i'm kind of stuck now and out of ideas how to trace this further and what could possibly be the issue here. Any advice is heartly welcome. PS: Please just let me know if you need more informations. i'll provide whatever i can.
