  1. Access via the FQDB https://yourpersonalhash.unraid.net:port doesn't work.

    Using https://ipaddress:port does work

Therefore I can get access using https://ipaddress:port and signout of myservers/unraid.net.

Solutions so far... stop using the myservers plugin/SSL off

*edit* tried it again and updated the DNS cert. - all OK now.

  2. Unraid 6.9.2 (i think.. - latest build)

Everything has been working fine. Had an internet issue, rebooted and now i have no webui access. I am able to see the dockers (plex, radarr etc) front end - just not unraid itself. I have the myservers.net plugin installed so I can't try the ipaddress/dashboard as it sends it to the xxxxxxxx.unraid.net.dashboard page. Attached the diagnostics (i can ssh in OK) Any ideas?

Yes, with that combination your pool size should be 120 GB (in round numbers), with half of your larger drive unused. The size is reported incorrectly, and so is the free space, but the used space is correct. So your screenshot shows you using 118 GB of your available 120 GB, leaving ~ 2 GB. Hence the warning.

Just shut down and physically unplug/remove the smaller SSD. You can use the cache as a degraded RAID 1 pool. When the new SSD arrives, shut down and plug it in. When you power up, assign the new SSD to the cache pool and start the array to let it rebalance.

doh.. busy moving all data off of the drive.. :) Thank you.. will do that tho !

  4. Trouble started when sabnzb couldn't unpack a file to the share. After running the fix common problems, i had the "Cache Disk free space is less than the cache floor setting"

The main screen show the cache is not full and the cache floor is set to 2GB. I've started the mover several times, just in case, ran all the HDD tests but nothing seems to jump out..

Have attached the diagnostics. Any help would be appreciated.

  5. Upgrade all fine apart from... the gui is kinda balked. On reboot everything is fine and can access all the tabs. When i look the next day i get the unraid banner with tab options but no data in them, and i'm sure i'm missing docker? happened a few times now and i can't seem to find a gui restart so need to reboot server for it to work. Not ideal. (fyi.. this is a screen grab of the unit.. the white underneath is what's being displayed.. not me being rubbish at copy/paste)

  6. Noticed my HDD not spinning down when server not in use. Things i've tried:

    Reboot

Changing the settings > disk settings > default spin delay value  from value x to 15.

Drives spin down after delay. Then they spin up (remember - server not being used) and don't spin down again.

Changing individual HDD to spin down from default value - again - HDD spin down then spin up some time later and don't spin down.

Tried changing the settings again but with a reboot after

Manually spun down drives - they then spin up and no longer spin down again.

NB Disk 1, 2, 7 are empty hdd and should remain spun down for most of the time.

I've looked through the open files/file activity plugins - and they do not indicate why HDD 1,2,7 should be spun up

Attached are the diagnostics... Any help would be great

    **************** EDIT

Removed the dynamix cache directories plugin and all drives spinning up/down as it should

  7. I've run a few windows 10 vm's on unraid and all fine - but i want to swtich to Linux and Mint is particularly nice.

Running it in VNC is no issue. Running it with a NVidia GTX660 passed through installs OK and reboots fine - the snag is this:

When powering down - the display shows the linux mint icon permanently. (Even when VM fully shut down)

Sometimes during use (watching a movie on VLC player and browsing the web) the GPU output will freeze - but the audio is fine.

It's as though the GPU just stops being controlled by the vm.

I've tried various bios settings but seem to be getting nowhere.

The GPU card used to need a rom file for my windows builds but not in this.. even with the rom file it still freezes

Is it worth perervering - or moving to another distro?

    **update**

found out about the "nomodeset" to fix freezes.. this didn't work for me - so removed and used "nouveau.noaccel=1"

Used Mint's "driver manager" to install nvidia drivers

The shutdown screen still displays even thought the vmware is shut down - as for the freezing issue - we'll have to see

  8. Hi.. trying to setup davos to download any new files.

It can talk to the ftp server fine but has an issue writing the file to the HDD. The error is contained in the attached log.

Please note. I have tried both /download and the entry  /mnt/user/downloads/. Neither work.

Yes.. the folder in question has write permissions (777)

    Any guidance would be appreciated.

  9. @gridrunner

    Thank you for the bios.

I removed  vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 from the sysconfig. Rebuilt the vmware using the rom pass through and we got output!

However - now it crashes on log in screen

libusb: error [submit_bulk_transfer] submiturb failed error -1 errno=28
qemu-system-x86_64: hw/usb/core.c:535: usb_packet_check_state: Assertion `!"usb packet state check failed"' failed.

  10. I have a Z77 motherboard (tower vga output is on board and on hdmi)

    I've 2 x nvidia gtx660 cards.

I can launch a Windows 10 vm with vnc with no issue.

added :  "vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1" to the Syslinux config

Enable PCIe ACS Override: has been set to yes

Added <rom file='/mnt/user/isos/EVGA.rom'/> to my XML file.

I've tried utilising GPU2 instead of 1 but that makes no difference, the VM starts, log file doesn't say a lot but there is no GPU output.

    Any ideas please?

    ***** Update *****

Changed bios to use GPU1 for unraid (this boots ok and card used)

Changed VM to use GPU2 for video/sound

Still no video output.. only indication from log is "libusb: error [submit_bulk_transfer] submiturb failed error -1 errno=28"

    ***** Update *****

Created new VM with seabios.. no difference at all
