  1. I would be willing to wipe the VM and start over.  I only use it very occasionally.  See below:

     ls -lah /mnt/cache/system/libvirt

    total 1.0G

    drwxrwxrwx 1 root   root    22 Jul 21 14:10 ./

    drwxrwxrwx 1 nobody users   26 Jul 21 14:10 ../

    -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody users 1.0G Jan  1 10:13 libvirt.img

    ~# ls -lah /mnt/disk3/system/libvirt

    total 102M

    drwxrwxrwx 2 root   root    25 Jul 21 14:10 ./

    drwxrwxrwx 3 root   root    21 Jul 21 14:10 ../

    -rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody users 1.0G Jul 22 20:02 libvirt.img

    root@tower:~#

Again thank you for your assistance.

  2. Thank you - question

Docker size:  a year ago I had problems with it filling and increased the size. I resolved that issue. However, didn’t know if I could reduce the size without causing a problem.

Should I reduce the size at the same time that I delete the docker image?

System share has files on the array:  not sure how this happened.  Suggestion in how to resolve?

libvirt: I have one VM that I haven’t used in a while this is the lowest priority of the issues from my opinion

  3. Happy New Year!

I had a disk in my pool fail and upgraded one of my dual parity drives and moved the smaller parity to the pool.  Used the parity swap procedure to copy parity.  The procedure completed and now the failed drive in the pool is rebuilding.  My server is running 6.8 and it shows the following error the "docker failed to start".  The system has dual parity and dual cache drives.

Could someone take a look at the following log and give me some advice on what to do?  Secondly, should I wait for the drive to finish rebuilding before trying fix the docker issue?

    Thank you in advance!

  4.

Today I had a 4TB drive fail.  I have a dual parity setup with an 8TB and 5TB drive.  The 5TB is in the 2nd parity spot.  I want to move the 5TB into the dead 4TB spot and replace it with an 8TB that I have which is precleared.

I read in the forums about the "Parity Swap" procedure for a failed drive (https://wiki.unraid.net/The_parity_swap_procedure).  So, I just followed the procedure and moved the 5TB parity to the old 4TB spot and added the 8TB as parity 2.  Then I started the copy.

After starting I became concerned that the procedure was designed for a single parity solution and it was the wrong idea.  Should I cancel and choose a different process?

    Thank you

  5. Hello, I have a problem in which all of my drivers are full including my cash except one drive. That drive is completely empty and isn’t filling up despite being part of the share.  I noticed that that drive is somehow assigned as a disk share.

I suspect that this is why it’s not filling up, But I am not sure.  I can’t seem to figure out how to remove it as a disk share because I don’t use them and recall how or why  I set it up as such.

Could someone give me a pointer on how to remove it as a disk share or remove the drive from the array entirely if that will solve the problem and then maybe re-insert it I am struggling here.

  6. Hi All, Looking for some assistance with a "Warning" that I just noticed in my Plex logs.  This seems to align with some Plex issues.  Could someone help to suggest what I can upload to this site to help resolve this issue.

*** WARNING: Detected another IPv6 mDNS stack running on this host. This makes mDNS unreliable and is thus not recommended. ***

*** WARNING: Detected another IPv4 mDNS stack running on this host. This makes mDNS unreliable and is thus not recommended. ***

    Thank you for your help!

  7. Updated with diagnostics data with mover logging turned on.

    Hello,

I have noticed that my cache drive is almost full.  It is a 500GB dual drive setup.   Gone through the steps listed here https://wiki.unraid.net/Replace_A_Cache_Drive to move all files from shares to the array.  This involved changing all shares to yes.  Stoping and turning off all dockers and also the same for VMs. Then enabling the mover. Unfortunately, they don't seem to move when I run the mover. Do I need to restart? What else can I provide you to help me identify the problem?  Should I reboot my server and try again?

Thank you for looking at this post!

  8. Hi All,

Is everyone aware that Lychee is desctructive to photos when you import them?  Does the group here have a recommendation on how to resolve this?  Do, i need to create an entirely  seperate share for the photos on Lychee so that they are not destroyed?

    Suggestions are appricated!

  9. I am experiencing the same issue as J_Hizzal described above.  I can't seem to connect the the database.  I am entering in the correct IP address, port, user and password.  No luck.  I have restarted mutiple times.

    Looknig for suggestions.

Edit: So I deleted the password and logged into the database as root and solved the problem.

    Hi,

I have an Asrock J1900m board and use s3 sleep. It seems to work pretty good. I have deep sleep 35 disabled in the bios and have no problem using wol to wake the machine.

Thank you!  What setting did you enable in the bios turn on S3 sleep.

    Ben

  11. Hi All,

I am experiencing a problem with S3 sleep. My unraid system appears to go to sleep as expected based on the pre-defined day and time settings.  However, I am unable to get it to wake-up on lan?   I have an Asrock Z170 Formula OC motherboard.  I have adjusted a number of settings in the motherboard as described below. I can also see the LAN lights are on when the server is asleep.  Lastly, I have the g setting enabled for WOL via the Dynamics S3 settings.

    Deep Sleep  ===> ENABLED
Configure deep sleep mode for power saving when the computer is shut down.  I have enabled this but don't think it actually matters since it impacts S4 and S5 sleep.

    Suspend to RAM   ====> AUTO
Select disable for ACPI suspend type S1. It is recommended to select auto for A
    CPI  S3 power saving

PCIE Devices Power On   ====> ENABLE
Allow the system to be waked up by a PCIE device and enable wake on LAN.

Suggested steps to resolve would be appreciated?  Also, what other information should I provide to help solve this issue.

    Thank you!
