Reduce power consumption with powertop
Hi All, Still trying to work through why I can't seems to get the package state below C3. I had powertop export the html and found a I2C device that indicates that its Untunable as shown below. Wonder if that could be the issue? Any suggestions.

Reduce power consumption with powertop
I have moved all of the tunable device stats from "Bad" to "Good." - Great. I have updated the bios to enable all C-Stats and ASME. I don't quite understand how to read the results of the "LSPCI" command. Is the no such device error a problem? I suspect something might not be setup correctly but I am not sure. My motherboard has 2.5g Realtek controller. Not sure what to do about that. I have tried to absorb all of the info in the threadbut perhaps missed something. Please let me know what I have missed if anything. Z790 AORUS ELITE AX Intel i5-13500 32GB RAM 3 - ST18000NM003D 1 - 1TB SAMSUNG MZVLB1T0HALR NVME No VMs Running I Realtek 2.5g ethernet.

Reduce power consumption with powertop
I really enjoy this forum and topic. It convinced me to get a lower power system and move away from my 3700x that consumes 80w at idle with just 3 HDD, 1 NVME, and a GPU. The one thing that I have noticed is that there seems to be a lot of difficulty in getting some motherboards to play nice with C-states and powertop. I just purchased an i5-13500 and have been looking at ATX motherboards with 6 sata connections. I am confused and concerned about finding one that plays nice with powertop. Would be great to get some suggestions. Thank you in advance. Sorry if this isn't the ideal forum but seemed best based on the topic to me.

Ultra low-power (<5W idle) minimalistic only-SSD Intel 13.gen i3 NAS (Asus Pro H610T D4-CSM)
What type of adapter do you need to use a laptop? PowerBrick with a motherboard, such as Asus or Asrock? Sounds like a great idea since I have like a Dell 19.5V 180 W PowerBrick sitting around.

[Plugin] CA User Scripts
I've run into a problem where the APPLY button will not save any scheduling settings. I tried to delete and reinstall the plugin, but I received no love. I'm looking for suggestions. Thank you.

(Solved) New Config - shares not showing-up
I solved it - I had an exclusion on specific drives to prevent them from filling up again after they were emptied. The new config populated that position.

(Solved) New Config - shares not showing-up
I just consolidated my server to a few larger drives by moving all the content to the new drives. I used the unbalance plugin, and everything was going well. The data is on the new drives, and the old drives are empty. I created a new configuration and removed the drives. The new configuration mounts, but the shares (except for app data, which is on the cache) don't show up. The data is clearly on the drives, but the shares are not visible/exportable. I have rebooted multiple times. I have tried to get the shares up with a new config with or without the cache and parity drives. No love. This is quite distressing. I appreciate any help you can provide. Diagnostics are below. tower-diagnostics-20241221-2315.zip

All dockers failing nearly every night
I am running into an issue where nearly every docker fails and has to be restarted on a regular basis. The logs and errors all point to every one of them having malformed or messed up SQL databases. I tried restoring the backups, deleting all app data and starting over for impacted dockers. Last night I just installed a brand new docker version of radarr to see if that would solve the problem and this AM same issue with the new docker. I am at a loss at this point. Could it be a bad cache drive? Please see the attached logs. Thank you for any help that you can provide. tower-diagnostics-20241219-0736.zip

Things I learned about the Seagate Exos drives and how to fix them if you encounter random shutdowns or read errors
What am I missing? I can only find the windows version of the seachest utilities and not the one for linux. https://www.seagate.com/support/software/seachest/ Anyone point me to the Linux version? Thanks.

Help: Moving from old AMD system - Looking for MOB + Intel + Lower Power Option
I currently have a 6 year old (or older) server using AMD 2700x CPU and a ASRock X370 Professional motherboard and a Quadra 2000. At the time I purchased it because it supported 8 Sata drives and used a lot of smaller size drives. I now have 4 HDD 18TB and two NVME. I primarily use it for plex, file storage and perhaps a VM every now and then. Ideally, I would like the ability to add at least one more HDD. The current system pulls 75-100w all of the time. Which seems silly. I have notice that plex sometimes drags now as I have a large collection. I would like to move to an intel CPU with transcoding to ditch the GPU and get something that will be more power efficient. Its been a long time since I built a system and I am overwhelmed by the combinations. Looking for motherboard and CPU ideas. While not required - wouldn't mind getting a smaller case I have the silverstone 380 ATX case with lots of bay. Thank you so much for your time in reading and answering this!

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Sonarr
hi, I’ve run into a problem with sonarr has somehow stopped picking up files from SABNZB. This is what the logs look like it’d be great if someone could take a look at them. Humm - is there a database issue.
