  1. Getting an odd issue with my Unraid 6.6.2 (happened on 6.6.1 also) network connection dropping when connected to my Ubiquiti US-16-XG switch. First sign of issue was that booting the server wouldn't pull an IP address. When I booted with the server plugged into my US-24 switch all was fine. Hot swapping the RJ45 from the US-24 to the XG also was fine for a while. But the network connection would ultimately drop after anywhere from 10 min to a couple hours. And then the server was unreachable. My Unraid server has a mainboard with two NICs, both Intel 10g, and I am only using one of them. I know that Unraid 6.6+ now bridges multiple physical NICs into br0. Not sure if that is related, but it's odd that this only happens when the connection is on the XG at 10g and doesn't happen on the US-24 at 1g. Pretty frustrated at this point. I've escalated this issue with Ubiquiti support to get some help from them. I will also note that my ESXi server - same exact hardware config - is solid as a rock when connected to the XG via a single NIC. So there is something about the Unraid networking that is contributing or even causing this issue. I'm not a networking expert so hoping someone here can give me some insights or suggestions. Is the default NIC bridging a requirement? I plan to only use one of the NICs - eth0 - and wonder if I can just turn off bridging eth1 into br0 to see if that results in the connection holding. The XG switch defaults to Spanning Tree RSTP if that matters. STP is also an option but not selected. But it's also RSTP on the US-24 and there is no issue with connection stability when that is the termination point. Any guidance or suggestions for resolving this?
  2. So used the backup network.cfg and that did the trick. Thank you @Hoopster
  3. Yes. Fortunately I do have a backup. Will do that. Thank you. Just curious though, is there a rescue option for this type of thing from the command line of the server?
  4. Self inflicted wound. I mistakenly turned off bridging or deleted my eth1 from the br0 (can't remember which) in hopes of eliminating my 2nd NIC from ghosting its MAC address in my router client list. I didn't realize what I was doing and I messed up my network setup as a result. Rebooting the Unraid server gets to command prompt just fine. But I can't reach the server through a ping or the GUI obviously. I tried booting Unraid in GUI mode but I guess my server can't drive my display as I only get to the main GUI splash and then it just blanks out and repeats over and over. So now I am stuck with no access to my server. Ugh. I'm a linux noob so unclear how to resolve this via Unraid root command line. Googled a bit and tried some commands to setup eth0 and eth1 on br0 but while appearing to work, my server still doesn't get assigned an IP address. Would really appreciate any help here as I rely on my server for a ton of stuff and now it is inaccessible. Dumb mistake that I won't make again. Thanks, /mw
  5. I'm having same issue on 6.5.3. Twice now in the last month. I was away for the weekend and came back to the server being unresponsive. Just sitting at login prompt on local display. Attached keyboard is also unresponsive. Had to hard reset/reboot at which point everything comes back including keyboard. Parity checks runs of course. But this is a bit concerning as this server has been otherwise totally stable with no issues or memory problems. Checking log after reboot shows nothing except the log entries post reboot. Nothing before.
