  1. I'm getting a warning message in my log every 30 minutes (I'm using the latest ( ? ) docker image as of 3 days ago).

    2021-02-11 18:08:37,353 DEBG 'watchdog-script' stdout output:
    [warn] Incoming port site 'https://portchecker.co/' failed to web scrape, marking as failed

    I found a post for DelugeVPN that had the same issue almost a year ago that was resolved per this post:

    https://forums.unraid.net/topic/44109-support-binhex-delugevpn/page/243/?tab=comments#comment-857506

    @binhex I'm assuming a similar cause and fix can be made or is this something on my end?

  2. I have no idea, really, but when I tried to change server hardware on my system, the new system didn't see any of my array drives - they were 3TB and mostly 4TB drives.  I switched back to my original server hardware and still, no drives were seen by unraid.  They did exist, but couldn't be read.  (I later discovered the backplane in my new hardware couldn't read drives over 2TB.)  It seemed the new hardware changed the partition table for my array drives.  I used GDISK to recreate the GPT (partition table) and then all drives were back to normal.  A big relief for me at the time!

    Perhaps try that and see if the partition tables on the drives can be restored.  I am a beginner at this stuff and was pretty nervous with messing with partitions on the drives, but in the end I didn't loose any data - only some sleep until I used GDISK!

    I have a weird issue, and it happend before. The only thing to get Plex working again was a re-install.

    I'll explain. My TV Shows with EAC3 sound don't wanna play. Other files play perfectly. Here a snippet of my log with the error:

    For some reason Plex is writing the temp-file "/tmp/pms-166ab604-f2a6-4907-ae63-d4afc85a7ea1"  to the "tmp" directory in the Docker container. I tried to set the transcode folder but it doesn't help. Also see the screenshot.

    Does anyone know what's going on?

    I don't really know what is or might be going on for you, but I had a similar issue.  Here is my similar post:

    https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/308232/why-would-tv-episodes-not-play-from-a-remote-client#latest

    Maybe that thread (and probably the link to another forum post) will provide you an answer/explanation; I didn't really understand it, but the solution worked for me!  Since that post, I have switched to the Docker version and things have remained fine for me and remote clients; I didn't need to change permissions after switching from the plugin to the docker version.

    its already fixed guys :-), go back to latest.

    edit FYI - the issue was due to a bump in the rtorrent version, this makes some of the older style options in the rtorrent.rc invalid, and thus for now they have been removed. i would encourage all users to consider moving to the newer style rtorrent.rc file otherwise there maybe breakage in the future, instructions below:-

    1. rename file /config/rtorrent/config/rtorrent.rc to rtorrent.rc.old

    2. restart container

    3. copy values for anything non default (do not copy keys such as 'use_udp_trackers') in rtorrent.rc.old to the newly geneated rtorrent.rc file

    4. restart container and ensure it starts correctly

    5. once happy delete file /config/rtorrent/config/rtorrent.rc.old

    IMPORTANT - Please ensure the editor you use sets the line endings to LF and NOT CRLF for the rtorrent.rc file.

    I've followed the above instructions and things are working OK with only one issue.  Can I no longer use the move completed downloads option in rtorrent.rc?  I had disabled it in settings in the UI, but completed downloads are no longer moved to a different directory.  I have tried adding these lines to rtorrent.rc, as it worked with the earlier versions:

    execute = {/bin/bash,-c,mkdir -p /data/2-downloaded}
    system.method.set_key = event.download.finished,move_complete,"execute=mv,-u,$d.get_base_path=,/data/2-downloaded/;d.set_directory=/data/2-downloaded/"

    So, I dug around a bit and found the following in the Wiki for common tasks for rTorrent:

    execute = {/bin/bash,-c,mkdir -p /data/2-downloaded}
    method.insert = d.get_finished_dir,simple,"cat=~/2-downloaded/,$d.get_custom1="
    method.set_key = event.download.finished,move_complete,"execute=mkdir,-p,$d.get_finished_dir=;execute=cp,-R,$d.get_base_path=,$d.get_finished_dir="

    This also doesn't seem to work, , but I am not sure I added the the completed downloads folder (/data/2-downloaded/) properly.

    Can anyone shed light on how I am best to move completed downloads?

  5. I've updated to 6.4 and 6.4.1 without any change.  I've also Enabled, Disabled, Enabled speed step in the BIOS, the intel_pstate,  and nothing seems to have helped.   I believe I have the latest BIOS for my board (Intel S5000 Server Board).  I'll readily admit that this is all above my pay grade!

    To summarize again, my tests:

    grep -m 1 'model name' < /proc/cpuinfo
    model name      : Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.20GHz

    grep MHz /proc/cpuinfo
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861
    cpu MHz         : 3191.861

    I am just putting up with it for now, unless someone has other suggestions.  The strange thing for me is that it was a power outage in early January that seems to have caused this behaviour (I never checked this before, so I'm not certain).  I was given the warning before about the CPU not stepping down, but the fans (and I'm guessing the CPUs) weren't running full, noisy speed.  Only since the power outage have the fans (and presumably the CPUs) run at full speed .

    I don't know if it's related, but I'm also experiencing issues with Plex; I've run into many issues with newer TV episodes.  The episodes play fine as long as the Plex client is connected to my local network (wired or WiFi), but remote clients are hit and miss.  I probably need to ask at the Plex forums, but would the CPU not stepping down perhaps prevent remote connections with Plex?

  6. Up until a day ago, I don't think I had a problem with the CPU frequency stepping down.  I am somewhat new to all of this, but my system was running what I'll call "normally".  Last night, the power went out for an hour or so, and upon restarting my server, the fan(s) seems to run at high/full speed all of the time (which is much noisier as well!).  Prior to the power outage, the fan(s) would only run full speed for about 10 seconds or so after a boot.

    The fix common problems plugin now indicates "Your CPU is running constantly at 100% and will not throttle down when it's idle".  If memory serves, that message was something like "Your CPU may not throttle down ...."  prior to the power outage.  So, I've been trying to find a CPU scaling driver - and that has led me to this thread.

    I've checked my server machine BIOS and all seems to be "normal".   I don't see a SpeedStep setting, but I assume that "Deep C-State" is the same (at least based on the setting description in the BIOS); therefore, I've left that enabled.

    My command line results are as follows:

    grep -m 1 'model name' < /proc/cpuinfo
         Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.20GHz        ## Intel Server Board S5000PSL motherboard ##

    awk '/^cpu MHz/ {print $4*1" MHz"}' /proc/cpuinfo

         3191.87 MHz
         3191.87 MHz
         3191.87 MHz
         3191.87 MHz
         3191.87 MHz
         3191.87 MHz

    cat /proc/cpuinfo |egrep -i mhz
         cpu MHz         : 3191.873
         cpu MHz         : 3191.873
         cpu MHz         : 3191.873

         cpu MHz         : 3191.873

    Is my next step to edit syslinux.cfg and add the pstate=disabled line?  If so, where might I find the syslinux.cfg file.  So far, I've been unable to locate it.

    **Edit 1:  Reduced size of the embedded image

    **Edit 2:  I have located the file and will see what the edit does ...
