Disk problems with replacement disk
1e changed parity Disk and did a parity check. 2e shut down and changed Disk 5 start array and rebuilt 3e shut down and replaced Disk 4 start array. But when I start the array disk 5 was unmountable and the only option was format. So I mis Disk 5 and the array start with a new Disk 4 8TB and I cannot put the old Disk 4 back. So I mis Disk 4 and 5 but I have both the old ones also the old parity disk.

Disk problems with replacement disk
That's the one. It's my old disk 4 I also have my old disk 5 but not online. If I can read my old disk 4 I put a new 8TB disk that's the ZR15B4FJ and copy it back.

Disk problems with replacement disk
Hi, It's a long time ago to visit the forum about 10 years my Unraid was running fine. Now I want to replace my HDD to 8TB HDD's and started with Parity. That's working fine. Then I swaped disk 5 to 8TB disk and it starts to rebuild (looks good) When finished I replaced disk 4 but when I boot and start the array he tels that disk 5 is not bootable. In the meantime he stard to rebuild disk 4. I format disk 5 and reboot , then the disk is bootable but I lost my data and it's not rebuilding. Can I attach the old disk 5 and copy it to the new disk? If possible how or do I need another procedure? I upgraded before I started to Version 6.12.6 2023-12-01. Rob

The Power Supply Thread
Hi Problem solved I bought a new measurement device the Cresta RCE 1106. Power switch off 0W Power switch on server off 2W I don't understand why I measure current with my fluke but I think I measure the blind current due to the input filter inside the power supply Rob

Hi Rembro I have other supply's laying around with the same results as yours accept the corsair and because I have had 2 of them I think its normal on the other hand when I switch the server on it's the one with the best efficiency . Hi Joe understand that but I think 30W with power switch on and server off is to much these days. Rob

Hi Rembro No fault here I use the Brennenstuhl BN-PM230 and it reads switch off 18W switch on 28W I also measured with a Fluke 87V. It was measured with 235V switch off 70ma (16.45W) and switch on 120ma (28.2W). Think its weird but got a new supply with exact the same measurements. Rob

Hi Did some more testing on the CORSAIR Builder Series CX430 V2 430W. If I switch off the PSU main switch it slill draws 18W Main switch on 30W. Power on the system with disks spin down 45W. I thought it was a bad supply and bring it back and get a new one. This one exact the same. I think when you switch off the supply it should draw nothing. Can you guys test it on the same supply there are more users that use this power supply. Rob Problem solved I bought a new measurment device the Cresta RCE 1106. Power switch off 0W Power switch on server off 2W

Hi Mondo The Crossair is more efficient than the coolermaster about 10% Maybe it has something to do with the dual 12V supply on the coolermaster that switch of one of the 12V. Here the measurements of the crossair and review http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=239 If I can find some time I do some measurements myself Rob

The Power Supply Thread
Hi I just build a new server with a Supermicro X7SPA MB and 6 3TB disks. The first psu I bought was a Coolermaster Elite Power 400 (RS400-PSAPJ3-EU) dual 12V and when I switch of the server it draw 10W. Later after reading here I bought a Corsair Builder CX430 V2 (CMPSU-430CXV2EU ) single rail 12V and when I switch of the server it draw 30W. Somebody know how thats possible.
