The issue of displaying the images has been corrected. Something must have changed in PHP.

I do apologize for not being active in responding. I have been in the processed of moving and have not had a chance to take a look at things.
Regarding losing data on restart, yes that is currently known and stated in the thread. I am still determining the best way to copy the data to the usb, or another location between restarts.

I just set the networking to bridge and remapped 443 to 4443 on the host.

New version released that fixes the log spamming and removes the dependency on Dynamix.System.Stats
-
I just want to be clear, you are planning to update your plugin to add this "Stats" tab right? I would prefer not to install more plugins then I need to if I don't have to.
Correct, I just need to do some final testing and I will be releasing a new version.

Install Dynamix System Stats. I gets dorgan hasn't included the stats.page file as of yet in his plugin
I’ll make this update and the other on above tomorrow. Sorry life has been hectic lately. -
This is spammed in the syslog every time I have something download on my windows VM. Anyway to fix?vnstatd[37382]: Traffic rate for "vnet0" higher than set maximum 10 Mbit (30->42, r208 t509), syncing.
Yes, actually meant to fix this. I’ll get it updated this week. -
I am looking to move data in/out of /var/lib/vnstat which I believe gets cleared on each restart. So my thought here is it move it over to the usb drive when the stopping_svcs event occurs and then when the svcs_started event occurs copy the data back over.

As a new unRAID user, a HUGE thank you for mentioning the Network stats plugin, and removing it fixing the issue. My new/trial install just sprung back into life, and as it is my first unRAID install, I didnt have the ability to rollback to 6.5.x.
Network Stats plugin was fixed with today’s release. Sorry for causing all the issues.- 3

Dorgan just needs to include the stats.page file from the dynamix plugin so that it'll work without stats being installed (it's just a header page file that creates the tab)

If I include this it looks like there is a config path hardcoded into this page file, i wouldnt want to do that as it could then conflict with that plugin if installed.... Suggestions??

New version release 2018.10.10 this reverts to the old path to store the vnstat db(/var/lib/vnstat) that will not persist across reboots. This should solve any of the unintended issues i have cause with peoples unRaid setups. I'll work on a future release to copy the vnstat db in/out of memory and will utilize emhttp events on when to do this, and not impact array functions.
-
Alright I just release a new version that reverts to using the default database path (/var/lib/vnstat), that will not be persistent across reboots. This should remove my "bad mark" as well as fix any problems people with having with array shares not being visible or stopping array from stopping. I will work on another version that will listen for the events and utilize those to copy the db in/out of memory.
-
It will definitely prevent the array from stopping because it continually writes to a file stored on the array
It will also give weird results because at startup after a reboot (clean or otherwise), because it writes to /mnt/user which doesn't exist until after the array is started which is way after the plugin installs.
Anecdotally, it is implicated in a few cases of /mnt/user being dropped completely.
Switching the plugin to instead utilize RAM and forgetting about history between boots may solve everything.
Excellent, thank you for pointing this out. This helps in coming up with a fix on this. I appreciate this. I will add event scripts for array start and stop and not create the location inside /mnt/user/ until after the array has started.

Once problems became apparent with the network stats plugin (Oct 7th), a mod comment was placed against it in the Apps tab basically advising not to install it. FCP if installed should also complain if the plugin is installed. Because the author dorgan is actively trying to fix these problems, it has not as of yet been blacklisted and completely banned from being installed, but that is the next step should his attempts falter or the plugin is abandoned altogether.
It is not advised to have this plugin installed currently, and all current installations should immediately be removed until further notice.
I am working on the issues called out in plugin support thread however I has been stated by several people that they do not believe it is my plugin causing the issues noted in this thread. -
vnstati -s -i eth0 -o /tmp/php5UZta7
Ok it looks like it’s trying to output an image. What web browser are you using?
-
this
Can you open the image source in a new tan and add “&debug=true” to the URL? -
Still a pair of broken pictures
Only a pair of broken images, or images for eth0 and then the broken images? -
According to vnstat, everything is running through eth0
But no data showing in the graphs? -
Probably not. But see my post above yours. Big issue.
Understood. I’ll look into resolving this, and come up with a better plan. -
Problem with that is there will still be your existing docker.cfg file present to parse.
Is Docker.cfg never present if you don’t setup Docker? If that’s the case I can research other approaches.... -
eth0 is my only option.
Yes, what I am asking though is your system using eth0, or do you utilize a non standard port. Right now I filter the list display so that it only displays interfaces that contain eth, bond or br -

I still think for a plugin to be installable for everyone, including those that don't use Docker you probably need to rethink where to store data, but that's just an opinion.
I'll try disabling Docker tonight, uninstall, restart and reinstall the plugin and see what happens.
-
It's also still not displaying anything. vnstats does return info, and the only interface available for me (and its checked off) is eth0)
Do you not use ethX, brX or bondX? Right now that’s the only interfaces it will show in the list to select. -
Not 100% sure on that on I installed it 2 days ago

Ok yeah it’s very possible the issues found over the weekend resolved that. But again, none of the people I worked with over the weekend had these issues.
