@Frank1940 Ok, I followed your instructions and I did setup the syslog server. it should not take more than 24 hrs because i am experiencing those random reboots on daily basis. I will update you with the new logs tomorrow, hopefully. I really wanna get down to the cause of those annoying random reboots. Thanks a lot

@Frank1940 thanks a lot of your response for your first question regarding the Diagnostics file: when I wanted to access my server and I saw the screen that is asking me to start the array, I knew that the server just rebooted for some reason that i am not aware of and this has been happening for the last 2 weeks almost on daily basis, I started the array and the first thing i did after that is I downloaded the Diagnostics file. as for the second part regarding the parity check: I believe those random reboots are causing the unclean shutdown!! because I did not touch the server at all. No one has access to the server, it is located in a locked room and no one access the room without the key. Thanks for the link, it is a great thing to do in the future, but how about the Diagnostics file that I attached already, isn't enough? at least for the time being

Hello guys, Every day I try to access my server and i find out that it was rebooted and it is waiting for me to click on start array. I have no idea why is this happening but I did also notice other random reboots whenever i am doing some downloads "relatively large" such as a season of a series. Will anyone please have a look at the attached diagnosis file and let me know whats wrong, I would really appreciate all the help i can get I am using the latest version of unraid 6.8.3 Also, my cache drive was recently replaced with new Samsung Pro 860 everything is working fine except for those random daily reboots!!! tower-diagnostics-20200530-2210.zip

Ok that makes sense. I actually don't know if they come back up again automatically. I will do what you suggested... I will change it to 3.00 AM and see how it goes from there and I will check if they come back up again in their own. Thanks a lot man, I really appreciate it.

Hello friends, So I noticed that my server keeps showing an unusual behavior which I need your help to fix. I have many dockers installed on my server, please have a look at the attached pic I am using the latest stable unpaid build, everything will be running smoothly but then for no apparent reason all dockers will stop at the same time. this keeps happening at least once every day and sometimes once every 2 days. Hey guys, I have a question, I want to run Plex on my unraid using privoxy (I simply want to run plex behind a VPN when it downloads posters and descriptions) How do I achieve that? I dont care about remote access, I just want plex to go through a VPN when it downloads movies' information and posters I looked into Plex settings but I did not find an option for using a proxy!! Any ideas will be highly appreciated

So I followed all the steps and everything is working perfectly...my unraid server is being backed up to the google drive but i came across an issue that I dont know how to handle my setup: rclone_upload this is where I store my files locally rclone_mount this is the folder that gives me access to my files in google drive once i upload them using rclone mount_unionfs this is the folder that shows both my local files and cloud files *encryption is enabled for all my uploads the issue is: I uploaded a file called "[take my home" as you can see I added "[" by mistake in the beginning of the file name... so I went to rclone_mount folder but to change it but I cannot, it keeps giving me an error message that says "an unexpected error is keeping you from renaming the file" I tried deleting the file, I got the same error message !! "an unexpected error is keeping you from deleting the file" Can anyone tell me what might cause that

So I just unboxed my brand new macbook pro 16" " I was a windows user" I noticed that browsing my unraid server folders takes forever!! So I have a download folder that contains almost 2000 files and when i browse that folder using my windows laptop, it opens up almost instantly!! but, using my new mackbook pro, it does not even open it, all i get is a spinning circle and thats it... I tried other folders that has 6 or 8 files and they do open but still it takes like 10 seconds just to open up the folder and see those 6 or 8 files I also installed the Cache Directories and turned it on but it did nothing !! I am using SMB since AFP is not recommended anymore. Any ideas?

I have a clean install of nextcloud it is working great but for the life of me, I cannot get the integrated ONLYOFFICE to work So I installed the ONLYOFFICE app I installed Community Documents Server app I click create spreadsheet for example and i get the following error message "ONLYOFFICE cannot be reached. Please contact admin" What am I doing wrong?

First, Thanks a lot for your reply... I am really lost here and I dont know whats wrong !! Here are the answers to your question: 1- Yes, /mnt/user/nexcloud/ does exists, I created it before I install the docker ! 2- I tried uninstalling the docker many times, and before installing it again I delete the nextcloud folder in the appdata by using MC in terminal. 3- I changed the port as described above nothing worked !! Can you tell me how can I get the nextcloud logs so I can attach them here?

Any ideas please?

Thanks for your reply I tried actually using the link in the unraid ui to open it by clicking on nextcloud icon and I also tried by typing in the address myself 192.168.1.200:8822 still same 404 error message !! I also tried your recommendation and turned on advanced mode in docker template and changed "https://[IP]:[PORT:443]/" to "https://[IP]:[PORT:8822]/" still same 404 error message !! I tried opening it from PC, laptop and ipad.... I tried deleting it and reinstalling it...that did not change anything

Hello guys, I installed Nexcloud from the community apps and in the docker template I changed the port from 443 to 8822 Now when I click on open WebUI a white page comes up that says "404 Not Found" and right below that error code "nginx/1.16.1" I am just trying to use next cloud without lets encrypt or anything like that... I just want to open the nextcloud page to set it up but I cannot get to that page My unraid server is updated to latest version and every docker is working great except for this one. I also tried changing the port to 444 which every video i watched had that...still same 404 error message !! any ideas?

Ok I get it, It is definitely a hardware issue but why did you suspect it is the RAM and not something else? Is there a way to verify or troubleshoot this to get to the root cause of this error? Regarding HardDisk 9, you said its errors can be intermittent and you suggested running an extended test "which I am doing right now" will this show us what's wrong with it?

This is bad !! I know that SSD is having issues and I have brand new one ready for deployment so I am not worried about this, already back-up and replacement process will be performed this coming weekend. But, My worries are related to what you mentioned regarding HardDisk 9 and the RAM. I am running extended SMART test now and I will post the result as soon as it is done Also, you mentioned that there are hardware errors being detected possibly bad RAM. is there a way to verify this? on this same point, could it be a RAM issue caused by a docker such as Emby and not actually a hardware error? I hear that Emby sometimes plays funny with RAM !!

But the Disk that has this error is not not an SSD it is Disk 9 not the SSD So, was that a false message ?

This is the error i got from one of my disks Tower kernel: print_req_error: critical medium error, dev sdc, sector 11068416312 what does it mean? I made SMART quick test and everything seems OK!

So I have rclone setup and running...great! I used spaceinvador script to mount google drive as a share and i can access that share now... amazing! I installed emby and I tried to point the media path of to google share but I cannot see it... I see all my other shares that are physically on my unraid server but not the mounted google drive one ?! Can anyone help me with this please?
