  1. I am willing to try acronis. When you say "let it sync" How exactly is that done? Does it automatically sync?
  2. I have just setup a single drive in my array (2tb). How do I go about replacing this with my larger hard drive (6TB). All my searching just points me to replacing a drive in an array with more than 1 drive. Is there a cloning app i should use? or is there a command line alternative to copying/transferring data from the 2tb to the 6tb? If anyone could point me to a guide really would make my day. Thanks in advance!
  3. I was planning to buy the same card. I have also managed to get the onboard USB 3.0 controller to pass through but cant be reset (needs power cycle). If i do decide to buy it and get it to work, i will feed you back.
  4. Hey! Could you tell me how you got this resolved exactly? I am also facing an issue with this controller.
  5. I have been digging for quite some time now on how to get this to work. I might as well give up. Would you suggest I put the UNRAID USB on that 3.1 controller and passthrough a different one? My board is the ASUS Strix Z370 - WiFi. I will try to find and passthrough this other controller with the 3.0.
  6. I am having trouble passing through a USB controller on my motherboard: IOMMU group 15:[14e4:43b1] 04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Inc. and subsidiaries BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 03) IOMMU group 16:[1b21:2142] 05:00.0 USB controller: ASMedia Technology Inc. ASM2142 USB 3.1 Host Controller IOMMU group 17:[144d:a804] 06:00.0 Non-Volatile memory controller: Samsung Electronics Co Ltd NVMe SSD Controller SM961/PM961 I have already added the vfio line on the syslinux.cfg file: append vfio-pci.ids=1b21:2142 pcie_acs_override=downstream,multifunction vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui I can already see it on the VM template (screenshot attached). But when i tick it to include in the passthrough, my windows 10 VM is stuck at the TIANOCORE splash screen. 7. I have two 6TB hdds, and two 1TB ssds for cache. What I would like to know is if one 6TB will be in the array and the other 6TB is for parity, will rebuilding be possible if the arrayed 6TB fails? If yes, how long would it take to rebuild?
  8. Thats for the insight frank! I might just have to use my own rig (i7-8700K-32GB RAM) and remove my GTX1080 and place the 2 1050s to give them a "bare-metal" experience in their gaming. With that, i will just slap on the 1080 on the i5-8500 and use it for my self. Sounds about right, right?
  9. I am planning to setup 2 Windows VMs for my kids. Would the Core™ i5-8500 with 16GB RAMs and 2 GTX 1050ti handle it? My daughter games on Minecraft and Roblox mostly and my son plays Diablo III, Overwatch and Fortnite. My concern is will the processor handle it. Thanks in advance!
