  1. What is your budget? Max $1000 (not including parity & data drives), though I'd prefer a lot less if possible. How many drives do you want your server to be able to support and how much capacity do you need? 1 parity, 1 cache, and 4 data drives (unRAID basic) Are you interested in running additional apps? This will be for media storage and possibly a torrent seedbox. Do you want to run green/low power drives or faster 7200 rpm drives? I will be using 4x 20TB IronWolf Pros and I don't want them to be limited in anyway during parity syncs. Do you have any spare parts laying around that you would like to apply towards your build? Building from scratch. Other requirements: Intel 2.5G NIC 1TB NVMe cache Fully modular PSU (gold or better) Case with good out of box cooling for HDDs --------------------------- Not really sure where to start. Was looking up suggested builds around this price range but didn't find much. Don't want to blind buy some parts and have potential issues. Any help would be appreciated.
  2. My requirements: 2.5G or 10G NVMe Cache 6 Drives (not including NVMe cache) I'll be using 6x 18TB IronWolf Pro drives. Doesn't need to be super fast, mainly a storage server with next to no docker usage, so cheap as possible without being slow.
  3. Can someone help me with custom cron entry schedule? The first sunday of every month at 3AM, once a month. Is this right cause I think this will just run it every Sunday which is too much... 0 3 * 1-12 0 Thanks.
  4. AutoFan is not correctly ignoring drives I set in the Ignore section. I set my NVME SSD to be ignored, but in the logs it's still adjusting based on that drive which results in 100% fan speed most of the time. Seems others have reported this with NVME drives. Is this still supported? I think I had same issue and I believe I fixed it by adding this line in my go file on flash drive (and rebooting): modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628 Others have said this one fixes it: modprobe nct6775force_id=0xd120
