  1. I was interested in the same thing.  I don't know how to "setup host paths of Unraid to see them in krusader".

In krusader my user shares show up in "media" and do not show in "mnt".  I guess cause I did this container setup for Krusader:

    image.png.c4ef5d4e47c77b913075e75d9d961b86.png

I tried to follow spaceinvader video.  I don't know if I did it right.  Probably the wrong place to post this.

I was trying to see the folder "mnt/cache/appdata/binhex-sonarr"  like the way I see folders in Windows.  And same for "mnt/user/Downloads".

  2. So, to install Roon Server as an Unraid docker container, I only need to read the top of page 1, sections:

================ To find the roon docker ================

================ Install setup Roon docker ================

    and optionally section:

================ Get it working on yer phone ================

    And I can ignore after

    ================ DEPRECIATED ================

    ?

If correct, great! So short and sweet.

Is xthursdayx the same person as steefdebruijn?

  3. I have been away from this thread for about a year.  Have you worked it out, how to run Roon in a docker in Unraid, and be able to do Roon updates, and it still works?

About a year ago, I gave up, and put the Roon server on my Windows 10 machine, and I start my Windows 10 machine every time I want to run Roon (ike once a day), and it has to work hard for 4 minutes before I can use Roon, and I don't know if it continues to work hard after.

If you, or anyone has not figured this out yet, I was going to try a Windows 10 VM on Unraid machine, then install Roon on the VM.  Thanks for all your work.

  4. saarg,

Thanks.  I think it will be easy to set up Emby clients, and that is what I planned on.  I was hoping for some help with the Unraid server.  When you wrote you use Emby back end, I assumed you were talking about your server.  If  yes, what did you install to get emby back end on your server?

If yes, what is your server front end, and what did you install to get it?

What I want to do is use my unraid machine, running 24/7, to:

    1) record TV from HD Homerun.  I think Emby premiere includes TV guide for that.  So I guess I need to install an Emby docker.  Can I run Emby on the unraid machine to set up recordings?

    2) copy media from internet using Usenet, Sonarr, and Radarr.  I think I can do that following Space Invader 1 videos.

    3) store it all on unraid, so I can access from clients, like new LG TV with emby app, or a TV with Nvidia Shield with Emby app.

    4) Is there any reason to use Kodi?  I am not sure what more it does.

  5. saarg, or others,

What apps, or how, do you install to get emby as backend? (Emby for Kodi docker?)

Then is front end Kodi?  If yes, which Kodi app do you install? (regular "Kodi" docker?)

I am starting new with Unraid, Emby Premiere, HD homerun w antenna, Usenet service and indexer, Sonarr, Radarr.  I am still learning how to install it all.  With all that, does Kodi have uses or advantages, or should I skip Kodi?

Linux sees all user shares as being mounted at /mnt/user. So when you try to move from one user share to another, Linux will see they are on the same mount, and instead of copying from source to destination and then deleting from source, as it would if you were moving between disks, it will instead just rename to a different path. This is instantaneous but it stays on the same disk, not the result you wanted.

You will have to do the move in 2 steps. Copy from source to destination. That will make another copy that follows the user share settings of the destination. Then delete it from the source.

if I have user shares /mnt/user/data using only disk 1, and /mnt/user/apps using only disk 2, to move from data to apps, I thought would be 1 step and it would automatically move it from disk 1 to disk 2.  No?

  7. do i have it backwards, the orange text should not be my unraid path/map?  Should I change the black text to caps, and change the orange text back to lower case?

Now I see from songkong, I need to change the black text to caps.  I will try that.

I could not see the lower case "music" unless I used Krusader.  I don't know how to see it from unraid.  I clicked on the folder icon to the far right.

5 min later:  I think it worked now using CAPS.  No error in "check common problems".  Here is my roons server config:

    image.png

  8. I originally tried to have my main folders in CAPS, so just now, I tried to change the docker "roon server" mapping to caps as shown here:

    image.thumb.png.21594594460184b27b815ba5e091ceb8.png

and the docker for "songkong" was already set to caps as shown here:

    image.thumb.png.47bd0a0b0e01b4ba35bef0bcb441bec6.png

but it did not work.  After rebooting my unraid array, the lower case came back.  I only have 2 other dockers and they do not reference music in any capitalizaton at all.  What did I do wrong?  Should I give up on having upper case?

  9. I had similar problem.  I am trying to use "music" and roonserver is setup to use "music".  But my music is in "MUSIC" and is 1.4 TB size.

Instead of cut and paste, as yuou describe above, can I use Krusader to delete "music", then rename "MUSIC" to "music"? Would that be faster than cut and paste 1.4TB?
