    Another few questions myself:

    1. RcloneCacheShare="/mnt/user0/mount_rclone" - Is there a reason this "Rclone Cache" isn't using the cache and is using spinning rust directly instead? Should this be /mnt/cache/mount_rclone? I saw a similar question asked in the past 99 pages, but never saw a response.

    2. If we're using VFS caching with rclone mount, why do we need the rclone upload (rclone move) script? I have noticed that sometimes when I make a change, it's transferred immediately (even though the upload script hasn't run yet) and other times, the upload script seems to have to do the work. Any idea why?

    Thanks.

    I was wondering the same. You ever figure it out?

    WireGuard is notoriously difficult to troubleshoot because it fails silently. It is mainly a matter of double checking your work. Rather than ask the same "did you check this", "did you do that" list of questions I created a post to go through it. See the second post in this thread (it wouldn't hurt to read the first one too):

    https://forums.unraid.net/topic/84226-wireguard-quickstart/

    Yeah, I saw that, and already tryed everything, gone trough everything on that list.

    This isn't my first setup of wireguard on unraid, I actualy have it on few other unraid servers already with no problem.

    I'm positive that my port forward is working, I already have some other ports on Mikrotik router working (for Hikvision dvr).

    When I try to scan port 51820/UDP I can see it open-filtered, same as in my other locations where I have wireguard and port 51820 open.

    I tryed redoing tunel and peer countless times now for the last 7 days, and can't seem to figure out what's wrong.

    Is there any other version of plugin (older meybe) I can try? That's only thing I didn't try. I'm currently on 2021.05.10a.

  3. Hi people.

    I have a wierd problem with wireguard.

    I just started my 5th unraid server (and therefor 5th wireguard setup). So it's a clean unraid install, only wireguard plugin installed.

    I have forwarded port 51820 to my unraid server IP, and no matter what I do, I cannot access my server from outside. Looks like wireguard isn't working.

    When adding a peer (remote access to lan) I get popup:

    Peer update required
    List of peers
    wg0: peer 1 (test)
    wg0: peer 2 (no name)

    My port forwards are correct, other apps are working fine. I created openvpn on my router (Mikrotik) and it's working fine, but I would love to have wireguard as I'm using in on all my other servers.

    Is there something I can do, check, anything realy?

    I'm strugling with this for the last 5 days, eaven tryed replacing router ( I had edgerouter X, now Mikrotik)

    I would appritiate any help - suggestion.

    Thank you

    Hi, so tbh I am really lost about Wireguard. I've spent a day (more actually) on that trying different methods:

    • remote access to server
    • remote access to LAN
    • remote tunnelled access

    I did setup my port forwarding correctly on port 51820 (internal and external) to my server (192.168.1.7) as UDP.

    In Unraid my network interface (eth0 and eth1) have bridging enabled
    I've tried with and without my dynDNS (duckdns) as a local endpoint
    I also noticed that the local tunnel network pool is using /24 for subnet where my Wireguard client (my phone) was using /32. So I've tried /32 server & client side and also /24 server & client side.

    I've tried with and without preshared key
    I've tried with and without peer DNS server. And for the different DNS servers address used: 1.1.1.1 / 8.8.8.8 / 192.168.1.254 (my router)

    As on client side, I did make sure that I was able to access my Unraid web interface and different services around (different ports) from my local network connected via WiFi.

    As soon as I turn off WiFi and enable Wireguard I am not able to have a handshake nor I can access anything.

    I've tried my local network local tunnel network on my phone none of them worked.

    Here is more or less what I've used in my Wireguard settings

    image.thumb.png.28669089df1ae5453dbe5f6f89b33426.png

    I did disable battery saving abilities on my phone, background data & unrestricted data usage.

    Someone would be able to help me ?

    Thanks in advance

    I have the same problem as you, did you manage to solve it?

    I just started my 5th unraid server, and that is 5th time setting wireguard, and 1st time I cannot configure.

    I have port forwarded (51820 UDP), wireguard is on 192.168.1.253, router is on 192.168.1.254.

    Just a basic config - remote access to lan not working.

    It's a fresh unraind install, basicly nothing on it, only wireguard plugin.

  5. I'm not shure why and what is happening.... After my media is downloaded and radarr/sonarr moves it into place (mount_mergerfs), I can see movie without problem. But when upload script finishes uploading, that same movie dissaperes, and only after I restart server, movies are visable on the mount again.

    Here is my script:

    RcloneRemoteName="storage_crypt"
    RcloneMountShare="/mnt/user/mount_rclone"
    RcloneMountDirCacheTime="720h"
    LocalFilesShare="/mnt/user/mount_rclone_upload"
    RcloneCacheShare="/mnt/user0/mount_rclone"
    RcloneCacheMaxSize="400G"
    RcloneCacheMaxAge="336h"
    MergerfsMountShare="/mnt/user/mount_mergerfs"
    DockerStart="binhex-radarr binhex-sonarr plex"

    I have mounted plex, radarr, sonarr to:

    /mnt/user/mount_mergerfs/storage_crypt/

    How often is your upload script running? Can you manually run it and see if it appears on your remote computer?

    It's running every hour.

    It does upload, files I'm shure, just remote server doesnt see it (mount only)

    One last thing about that remote server. Should I edit something in my script, or did I set it up corectly? I don't understand that bit about cache. Not shure how to disable rest of the script and leave mount only part?

    I'm assuming you are using Plex. On the remote computer, it won't detect the file changes. You will have to manually scan the files or set it to scan periodically. There is also an "Autoscan" docker from Hotio in the APP store that may trigger the scanning as well. I haven't set it up on my remote box because the periodic scanning works fine for my case.

    Nope, using jellyfin, but same thing.

    Actualy what I find is that my remote server isn't aware of new uploads, cannot figure out why?

    What I mean by that is, when main server upload's "NEW MOVIE", I cannot see that "NEW MOVIE" in remote server mount.

    Meybe cache?

    Still not shure how would my mount script should look like on remote server?

    I currently have this:

    # REQUIRED SETTINGS
    RcloneRemoteName="storage_crypt" # Name of rclone remote mount WITHOUT ':'. NOTE: Choose your encrypted remote for sensitive data
    RcloneMountShare="/mnt/user/mount_rclone" # where your rclone remote will be located without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user/mount_rclone
    RcloneMountDirCacheTime="720h" # rclone dir cache time
    LocalFilesShare="ignore" # location of the local files and MountFolders you want to upload without trailing slash to rclone e.g. /mnt/user/local. Enter 'ignore' to disable
    RcloneCacheShare="/mnt/cache/mount_rclone" # location of rclone cache files without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user0/mount_rclone
    RcloneCacheMaxSize="400G" # Maximum size of rclone cache
    RcloneCacheMaxAge="336h" # Maximum age of cache files
    MergerfsMountShare="ignore" # location without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user/mount_mergerfs. Enter 'ignore' to disable
    DockerStart="Jellyfin-AMD-Intel-Nvidia" # list of dockers, separated by space, to start once mergerfs mount verified. Remember to disable AUTOSTART for dockers added in docker settings page

    My script is for a Windows computer. It's really just an rclone mount without a cache. For another unRAID box, you would just need to modify the mount script and just use the rclone mount section without the use of a cache. I make my mount a read only on the remote box to prevent files from being altered.

    I managedbto make things work on main server, radarr adding movies, upload script uploading, but second server doesn't pick up new movies, I can see only data I had uploaded before running mount script. Any idea what could it be?

    Also thank's for all ur help

    why do this on UnRaid. My windows machine maps to the unraid shares for Emby, Sonarr etc.

    I don't have windows machine there, only unraid with jellyfin. Server 1 is in my main place where I live (this is where I download all the stuff), and server 2 is in my vacation house where I just want to watch TV shows, but I have better download speed If I mount rclone instead of streaming from my place.

    I presume I would just use mount script, not upload for server 2.

    Main problem is server 1 where everything is happening. Downloading with deluge, sonarr moving files.

    I cannot figure it out. What do I map where? sonarr should map to mergedfs? deluge also?

    So jellyfin maps mount_rclone or mount_mergerfs?

    You want to map them to the /mnt/user/mount_mergerfs. That is the combination of your local files and rclone cache/mounted folder.

    Nice, thanks.

    And about this part:

    LocalFilesShare="/mnt/user/media"

    I used to have sonarr and radarr mobve files here /mnt/user/media/TV and /mnt/user/media/Movies

    Is this path for that?

  11. i cannot understand one thing.

    I have mount_rclone with all my Movies/TV, should I just map sonarr and radarr directly to that mount or do I have to mount in someowhere else (mount_mergerfs)?

    This is part of my mount script (part that I changed)

    RcloneRemoteName="storage_crypt" # Name of rclone remote mount WITHOUT ':'. NOTE: Choose your encrypted remote for sensitive data
    RcloneMountShare="/mnt/user/mount_rclone" # where your rclone remote will be located without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user/mount_rclone
    RcloneMountDirCacheTime="720h" # rclone dir cache time
    LocalFilesShare="/mnt/user/media" # location of the local files and MountFolders you want to upload without trailing slash to rclone e.g. /mnt/user/local. Enter 'ignore' to disable
    RcloneCacheShare="/mnt/user0/mount_rclone" # location of rclone cache files without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user0/mount_rclone
    RcloneCacheMaxSize="400G" # Maximum size of rclone cache
    RcloneCacheMaxAge="336h" # Maximum age of cache files
    MergerfsMountShare="/mnt/user/mount_mergerfs" # location without trailing slash e.g. /mnt/user/mount_mergerfs. Enter 'ignore' to disable
