  1. I added a drive earlier today to start a preclear/SMART long test before switching it to parity. Something caused my system to stop responding and hung so I had to reboot it. After it booted it would not pass data, so I started to troubleshoot the network config. I have tried static/dhcp settings, bonded/bridged on and off, even gave it a static on the network side. Nothing seems to allow it to pass data. It also says no pools available during boot, but that is the least of my worries at this point. Thankfully I was able to pull a diagnostics from the command line, but that is the limit to what I can do. alexandria-diagnostics-20260114-1644.zip
  2. Okay, only listed one as being installed, not sure if that is all of them or not. It was a dynamix file manager. Deleted it and rebooting now, will update
  3. Quick update...rebooted into safe mode and both drives and internet connectivity is working/back.... Maybe it is time to reinstall unraid on a new usb?
  4. For whatever reason my array disappeared after the reboot which is kind of odd, but here is the diagnostics after deleting network.cfg. I did test ping 1.1.1.1 and no change alexandria-diagnostics-20250422-0630.zip
  5. So for whatever reason over the weekend my server lost all communication with the outside world. I was troubleshooting an issue with my plex server and discovered it earlier tonight. I can ping my gateway, however I cannot ping 1.1.1.1/8.8.8.8 or resolve any domain names. I have ensured the network settings are correct (been the same settings for years now), tested to make sure I can connect from other machines to the outside, and rebooted my server. No changes for whatever reason. Even switched my DNS servers, but no dice. Not sure what else to check since no other devices in the house are effected by this. Diagnostics file attached.... any suggestions to try? alexandria-diagnostics-20250421-2229.zip
  6. So I actually spent a couple hours running memtest yesterday in various configurations. Initial test gave me a lot of errors, reran it with 1 stick, then 2 etc up to all 4 sticks and it passed. It’s been stable now for about 16 hrs or so. I think I might look at swapping out the HBA for further testing. Only down side is knowing which one might the culprit. I have 2 has, an internal and external one. Most likely start with the internal since it has more drives attached.
  7. I have attached a syslog server capture that I setup on another machine that captured before crash and immediately after the crash. Also attached the latest diagnostics from right after a boot alexandria-diagnostics-20240623-0907.zip syslog.txt
  8. I can't seem to win lately. Fixed an issue with a docker hanging the system and now it appears it won't run for more than a few hours without crashing. I did just install more ram last night while working on the docker issue, but I am not sure if that is causing all the problems or not. alexandria-diagnostics-20240622-1603.zip
  9. Is there an easy way to figure out what caused this issue? I did increase it because it was filling up, but I am not sure what went wrong or where
  10. Thank you! This did the trick. Now I am curious what caused it to begin with
  11. Sadly this was the first thing I tried, along with reboots.
  12. So for some reason, docker is failing to start. I get the following errors: Jun 8 21:48:55 Alexandria unraid-api[14239]: ✔️ UNRAID API started successfully! Jun 8 21:48:55 Alexandria unraid-api[14239]: ⚠️ Caught exception: connect ECONNREFUSED /var/run/docker.sock Jun 8 21:48:55 Alexandria unraid-api[14239]: ⚠️ UNRAID API crashed with exit code 1 I have wiped my cache drive, reformatted it and rebooted but still no luck. Any suggestions? alexandria-diagnostics-20240608-2139.zip
  13. Happened again within the last hour or so alexandria-diagnostics-20240121-1946.zip
  14. I do have a syslog server running on another machine. Would that cause it not logging?
  15. That was with syslog enabled actually. I double checked because it didn’t show anything from before the crash. if it happens again I’ll update
  16. Been running for a little over a week without so much as a hiccup after a hardware upgrade and I figured out the macvlan issues. Suggestions? I see a few warnings, and errors. I know I have a couple drives that are on the way out but they are not part of the array. Hardware: Asus WS W680 ACE i5-12600K 32gb ram LSI-9300-8i LSI-9300-8e Nvidia GTX-1660 alexandria-diagnostics-20240116-1552.zip
  17. Donkey puncher.... I _might_ have found the issue. I had docker folder installed, just removed it and it seems to be working at the moment
  18. Upgraded some hardware, and then decided to update unraid, upgraded from 6.12.3 to 6.12.6. FixCommonProblems stated I had issues with MACVLAN and Bridging which would result in unstability, great. Took forever for docker manager to shut down, vm manager wasnt an issue. Turned off bridging for eth0, and fired them back up. Docker manager wouldn't start, said invalid file or something and after a quick google found a how-to on fixing it. Went to reinstall my dockers and planning on running community app backup restore to find out it was replaced. After dockers were reinstalled, went to install and restore appdata backup just to find out it can't find any backups anymore. Joy. Decided to reconfigure all my dockers, but the problem is none of them are starting. I click start and unraid just sits there, nothing in the log. Not sure where else to go from here... attached diagnostics below alexandria-diagnostics-20240106-1814.zip
  19. Will do. I did a downgrade last night after posting this, and it didn't make it 24 hours before it crashed again. Once I get it back up I will enable syslog server and report back if it does it again
  20. Since I updated Saturday I have had the system crash twice now for now apparent reason. Neither webgui pinging its IP works. Suggestions? alexandria-diagnostics-20231130-1851.zip
  21. So I have 2 hard drives that have very large read/seek errors and I am trying to figure out if its a drive issue or is it a potential issue with the caddy/backplane. I am using a SM CSE846. I have attached the logs and included a link showing the data the for the 2 drives (sdd and sdt). https://imgur.com/a/nTpwjqp Thank you in advance alexandria-diagnostics-20220324-2123.zip
