  1. ahh another point i missed. i switched gpu order in the board some month ago so that i can see cli and have a passthrough. Thats why i do not need that anymore. Cause i was sure i tried without rom and ovmf. Thanks for clearifying again.
  2. Yes. That's it. Last night I read again how to do this. And my setup and settings never changed since my GTX 960 or so. This said: - do not use a rom - do use ovmf * If you have a more recent GPU That's it.
  3. Does nobody have an idea why the boot process is not shown? Nor the post of the bios?
  4. Hey there im having, since kinda ever, the issue that all my VMs (windows 11, linux etc) are all booting with a blackscreen until the login screen of windows/ubuntu/ fedora is shown. I'm unable to see the virtual bios posting or an update of a kernel or windows update. Everything else is working just fine like audio opengl etc. Attached is my vm.xml for a linux variant vm.xml
  5. Currently my array is kind of always on and spins up even if manually spun down. When i spin them down it only takes several seconds until they spin up again. I can not find any reason why they wake up, File Activity plugin does not show anything, grep around with lsof on the terminal does not show anything. I tested with : - VM Manager disabled - docker container disabled. - smb disabled (no other share system has been enabled) - Most of the plugins have been removed. - no share has array as a second storage The log shows read smart data and i had that in mind for a second, but as i learned from other threads here, it reads smart values when spinning up and is not the cause to spin up. It stays down until i visit the main tab again. For the sake of completenes: i changed two things: 1. upgraded to 6.12 2. added another drive to the array formated as zfs to a pool where the rest is formatted as xfs.
  6. Hey there when i shutdown unraid it does not do a clean shutdown, but waits forever. Last command issued is: "Starting diagnostics collection..." and stays there forever (at least i waited 10 minutes until i hard reset the machine). When i run the diagnostics through cli the file is created fairly fast after some seconds.
  7. tried this: but it this does not seem to work anymore. like there is no pid anymore in run. Will see if i can modify it and get it to work
  8. I tried adding some sysctl commands to br0 device like addr_gen_mode=2 and some stable_secret. The secret is added and kept, but not the gen mode it is set to 1 no matter what i do. So there seems to be some `ip link set` or some other default when br0 is added.
  9. Hey, i'd like to configure the suffix of the ipv6 address of br0 (br0 only maps with eth0 and docker/vms of course here). I see that addr_gen_mode is set t0 zero. The goal is to have a static suffix ipv6 for the br0 device. What is the best and persistent way to do this on unraid? It wont be a problem to edit files on the boot/config dir or add custom bash shell scripts. Any hints greatly appreciated.
  10. I am unable to specifically reproduce it but when playing with a second interface, setting it to ipv6 and ipv4 only and back and to ip4 + ipv6 and just play with a second interface it sometimes resets eth0 and eth1. The network.ini file in /var/local/emhttp then is broken and includes only the last 4 lines. I tried to eliminate a race condition (2 requests trying save at the same time), but sometimes managed to reproduced it even if when waiting several minutes between requests.
  11. Since upgrading to 6.11.0 im unable to view or download the peer configuration is unusable. After click there are two calls against the unraid server - a websocket call against sub/changes which never results into anything and is always pending - an http call against: webGui/include/StartCommand.php POST with data: `wg_config peer-tron-wg1-4 /peers nchan` which results in a single int the lghtbox below opens and nothing happens anymore. Logs are clean, `systail -f /var/log*` is also clean. My server does not run on the default 443 port but on 1443 and my hoster just thrown me under te bus with a surprise ipv6 DS lite account. I tried this qr code generation on chromium and firefox (on linux) through ipv4 and ipv6 and hostname to eliminate that one of those things is an issue.
  12. when i try to start the service, sometimes it somehow does starts, BUT only if there is no added peer. If i add a peer there is always this error: [#] ip -4 route flush table 202 [#] ip -4 route add default via table 202 Error: inet address is expected rather than "table". [#] ip link delete dev wg2

Tested it with GBIT Lan now: SMB: 45 MB/s SCP: 110 MB/s to the same share. Used in both cases the mnt/User path and not any direct disk share path.

I tried to create a new share with cache only. Restarted the array. Got the same speed around 30MB/s

No I did not the settings are there since a very long time and since I restarted the machine and the array several times. So I don't think this is an issue. I also can see that smb transfer writes to the cache disks when I look at the dashboard and directly on the mounted disks. I also can not see any significant things like maxed out CPU or oom in tools like netdata. This drives me a bit crazy. There is no encryption of the disks but if that'd be the bottle neck I would also see a higher CPU load
