  1. Firstly thanks for all your hardwork. I use a bunch of your stuff and it always works great so massive kudos to you. I have taken to learning Prometheus and am just getting started setting this up in my home environment. However when I go to the CA and search for Prometheus Node Exporter I don't get any results. I have 2 unraid servers at home and on both the CA isn't returning anything. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong? Thanks! Edit: Disregard. I was running a 6.8 release of unraid and just updated the OS and then it showed up for me. Thanks @ich777!!!!
  2. So long story short, my work replaced their entire server room with new blade server/chassis setups and nimble storage SANs. I was lucky enough to get to take home all of the old equipment. This means I have 2 server with 12 bays each to run more typical unraid configs on but one of these will only support 1 CPU currently (it has 2 sockets but was never configured with 2 and I ran into issues attempting to add a matching CPU into it) and the other would be great as an unraid server and it will be at some point but that's not my primary focus right now. I have 2 1U servers with 2 (10C/20T 2.9 Ghz CPUs 40 Threads total per 1U and 384GB's of RAM each but NO STORAGE (currently, it has 2.5" bays with a SAS back plane but I have none of these drives). My question is i'd really like to get these 2 1U's running my docker containers (PLEX, SONARR, RADARR, PiHole, Jackett, currently) and/or my VM's (2012 R2 Domain controller and currently 2 other 2012 R2 VM's) but using the storage on the slower server. I have already setup 4 1GB nic's in a LAGG group and configured them appropriately in my switch (I also inherited this so it's a pretty high end 1GB 24 port managed switch) so I don't feel like r/w to the networked storage would/should be an issue to access the cached drive. Is this possible at all? Would I be better off getting an SSD into those 1U's just to run the docker containers and VM's on and then using the networked storage for download directories? Any other ideas or thoughts? Really just trying to figure out the best way to work these 1U's into my setup. Thanks for the input! Still super new to unraid but loving it now! I had to get on to 6.8.0 to stop the sqlite corruption issue but since then i've not had any issues at all.
  3. So it's entirely possible I don't know what I am looking for. I found the manual for this. But I can't find a section that calls out anything about memory or CPU configuration? Am I missing a manual somewhere? Thanks!!!!
  4. I will go check but the first time I had tried to boot it up I had all the slots populated with 16 GB sticks, 6 of the same sticks CPU 1 was using. Thanks!
  5. So I confirmed the single socket would boot with 2 sticks of ram. Move that CPU and those 2 sticks to the same position for socket 2 and the same issuer persisted. It is currently running dual 750 PSU's the the power supply back plane. It's possible that there is an issue with the backplane and that the power rails for socket 2 are damaged. Unfortunately it seems that there is a single 8 PIN designed for both CPU's to be powered so I can't really test that.
  6. first off, hello everyone! I am new here and super excited to start using unRAID. I've recently inherited a boatload of servers from my employer when we replaced a bunch of individual servers in favor of blades in a couple of our offices. I am trying to use one of these as my unraid server and wanted to beef it up a bit. I took out 2 pair'd x5650's from a 1u dell and threw them into this 3u HP P4500 G2 server. Populating the 2nd CPU slot causes the thing not to post anymore. It will power on, the fans ramp up to the full jet fan screaming speed and then it shuts off. I can see online on ebay etc plenty of other examples of this server having dual cpu's but it just isn't working for me in this one. I've disconnected/reseated everything I can think of at this point and looked around in the ILO Management for clues and nothing really stands out to me. I tried running a known good CPU in socket 2 while socket 1 was empty and the same behavior occurs. At this point i've come to the conclusion that either the socket is disabled via software/bios/jumper or that the socket is just bad somehow/somewhere and I am SOL. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!!!
