I cant figure out how to search just this topic anymore but when I am trying to set up the couchpotato docker I cant figure out how to make it read my old config from the v5 Phaze plugin. This wouldnt be an issue but I basically only use this to rename stuff and I cant get the renamer to point to the folder where files are located to be renamed because the From folder option line doesn't list my directory structure properly. No matter what I do the wizard pops up first. I was able to get sonarr and sabnzbd to work just fine. i take that back sonarr gives an error saying Missing root folder: /mnt/user/TV Shows sigh should have stayed on v5 i think...

is there a preferred guide to upgrading from 5 stable?

alright I tried doing this with both the xrossover cable and the regular cable and I still cannot get the GUI to open.

I had not, I will attempt that this evening. Do I need to put anything specific for default gateway and subnet mask or just have them be the same on both machines?

alright I think I have accomplish that but I still cannot get anything to come up other than not connected to any network and browsers complain of not being connected to the internet. I set a static IP in the ethernet properties on the windows PC but when I do an ipconfig command in command prompt the ethernet adapter doesnt list any IP and says media disconnected so I am not sure if I am still doing something wrong.

so I set up the network.cfg thing (i forget the actual name at the moment) and direct connected a windows pc with both a crossover and regular ethernet cable. I have never attempted this so I might be doing something wrong but the windows computer just complains about not being connected to a network and I still cannot connect to the GUI via its IP.

Rob, it has no connection limit as far as I can tell. Gary, I can't get to the GUI only the console via the attached monitor.

My router seems to be assigning dhcp just fine to everything in the network just fine except the server. When I look at the assigned table it is never listed. It used to have a reserved ip via the router but when I reset the router that assignment was lost. I have tried to do that again but to no avail. It seems like it is just ignoring that connection or something. I did try once to set network.cfg manually like you listed but with my network specs and it listed the ip in ifconfig but there was no connectivity. I found an airport express device this morning and tried to plug it into that and the router saw the MAC address of the router but still did not assign it an IP.

so there are no available PCI slots on my motherboard. Can I use the on board wifi or a usb nic? Are there any speed differences between a USB nic and the onboard one? Over the last month I have had to replace 2 drives and a power supply and I am completely tapped out and cannot afford a new motherboard for this stupid thing.

the only two computers that i have both of them use on motherboards NICs.

don't have any others that I could install without ordering one. Is there any other way to test it?

i tried swapping out the network cable with a different one to no avail. I have also tried it in different ports on my router and other devices work regardless of port, server never works regardless of port.

I can't tell if it is or not, it doesn't seem to get it's IP from the DHCP server so I can't connect to it.

so I got home from work and all of the sudden my server has no connection to the internet. I have rebooted the server as well as the router and modems and was able to get everything else back up and running but now I cannot get the server to get it's connection back. I tried doing a fresh install of Unraid 6.0 as well as the old install I was using 5.x something and I get the same results regardless. I only have a monitor to attach for a day so I really am hoping to get this fixed as soon as possible. I have attached the syslog. thanks syslog.txt

I might be doing something wrong but when I try to download the vbox-4.2.16-unRAID-3.9.6p.tgz file I get about 0.2mb of the file and it times out. edit: looks like it is resolved, I was able to download just fine earlier.

This is probably a long shot but does anybody have an idea of a place I can find a replacement chassis for the N40L? Mine got pretty heavily damaged during a move all of the internal components are fine for the most part and it has been running decently for a while now but the temps are really high.

The itunes server icon should appear on the Settings page under Network Services
