HBA is failing to initialize on the newer kernel
I tried to update from 6.12.4 to current 6.12.13 but more than half my drives were not recognized after the update. I did walk the updates individually to 6.12.11 successfully and that is what I am currently running. However, I still can't run 6.12.13 without getting the drive issue. I posted about it on the forums and one of the moderators reviewed my logs and said "HBA is failing to initialize, likely related to the newer kernel, try a different PCIe slot if available." but I don't have anymore 1x8 slots available. I attached the logs while running 6.12.13 here. The thread with all the other logs and screenshots is: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/179322-upgrading-os/ Just reporting the issue in hopes one of the next updates fixes it. theoasis-diagnostics-20241113-0154.zip

Upgrading OS
I was afraid of that. Unfortunately I cannot change PCIe slots as I have 2 LSI cards which are 1x8 each. I will just report this as a bug and hope the next release will work. Thank you very much for your help.

Upgrading OS
For another update - I downgraded back to 6.12.4 and then tried upgrading to 6.12.10 which worked. All the disks are functioning and shares accessible. So its something in 6.12.11, 6.12.12 or 6.12.13 that is causing the issue if that helps. Also as time allows I can try the other 2 upgrades to see if those two works.

Ok, did the upgrade and same result. Attaching the diagnostics and I did screenshot of my dashboard on both. theoasis-diagnostics-20241113-0154.zip

Upgrading OS
Absolutely, it is attached. If it helps - I now have all my data safely moved off the array so I can do a new config or anything needed (no fear of losing data). Thanks theoasis-diagnostics-20241111-2230.zip

Upgrading OS
So I ran into a weird problem. My Unraid OS is 6.12.4 with 12 disks (2 parity and 10 data). When I rebooted after upgrading to 6.12.13 more than half my drives were not recognized and my array was offline. I shutdown the server and restarted it with no change. So I rolled the OS back to 6.12.4 and all drives were working, show healthy/green with the array working fine. I did do the Upgrade Assistant prior to upgrading and that was good. Lastly, before downgrading I did the diagnostic download for Unraid to look at but thought I'd post here to see if anyone has ideas.
