  1. Hi all, I have an odd problem where a user is able to upload large files via a web browser to my nextcloud server, but the large files disappear when the chunks are reassembled. Is there a way to solve this?

Another thing, the uploading of files was extremely slow so I changed it via this command.. occ config:app:set files max_chunk_size --value 40971520 and this has solved this, but if I do an update, I always have to manually change this along with modifying other important settings in the nextcloud.ini file via nano which is a pain also. Why are these settings not easily accessible via the nextcloud admin settings in the GUI? Setting the defaults for Memory limit: 512 MB Max execution time: 3600 Upload max size: 512 MB etc are all annoying things that have to be done through nano or the command line.

didnt try but the folder the files are uploaded to should be mapped as volume in the config. Give it a try

Thank you. Is the config the .js file here /mnt/cache/appdata/filebrowser/.filebrowser.json. When I open it in and editor I see this. I don't see a mapping for volume.

This is the behavior accessing Unraid shares from MacOS.  I've been running Unraid for over 5 years and this has always been the case, especially with SMB shares. It just doesn't work well and when it does work at all, the speed it pretty slow. This is with some 7 or 8 MacOS versions and three completely different Macs, plus always updating Unraid to latest/current versions. Accessing with a Windows system is reliable and pretty fast.

There's nothing you can do to improve the situation. No version of Unraid addresses these issues and there are no settings, patches, extra software or anything that will make any difference. The only solution to fast SMB shares from MacOS is to use another NAS instead of Unraid. If you set up a Windows system and share its folders as SMB you'll see how fast it can be.

I typically use NFS because SMB can't be used with the Mac on Unraid. It's not great, but at least it somewhat works.

This is so annoying! Why is there no way to fix this? Is it up to Unraid OS or Mac OS? Why do Mac's work fine with 10GB on other systems?

  4. Hi, I was wandering if there is a way to delete one of the 'Disk Layouts'. It seems that I can only delete the last layout with the + - Signs but not able to custom select another layout like "Mickey" here in the screenshot. 1646628260_ScreenShot2023-08-09at11_53_19.thumb.png.2af71265b67c216b0f42da4d5d4f10d0.png

I can confirm I had a similar issue with the latest nvidia driver and reverting to v530.41.03 solved almost all issues except for the web player transcoding now just hangs no errors on the browser. Card is P2000

@raftriderwere you able to get any help on this over on the Plex forums?

    nope ...

and @Jase sorry to say, i just made a quick mockup here and nvidia is working fine here ... in chrome browser ... playing live tv as sample (will always transcode), local browser playback

    image.thumb.png.91877f4be4be7d983ba1652a37e3daa4.png

also 4k hevc transcoding ... remote playback ...

    image.thumb.png.f2d031a35e9f38c9f5ae88872e428d28.png

the described "network 100x" errors are most common malformatted streams or some other errors, just as note ...

i've seen this errors from iptv usage on plex with no proper setup ...

Thank you for setting up a mockup on your server.

I've tried everything that I can think of to get my Plex server up and running again...tried different Nvidia drivers, different developer versions of Plex like Linuxserver, Hotio, Binhex, removing the docker containers, reinstalling and even deleting the whole docker image and recreating it. starting with clean new setups of Plex instances with alternative media on different drives and even switching out Nvidia video cards.

I'm at a total loss to why this is happening. This server has been running fine for years up until a couple of weeks ago. The only thing that changed was updating Unraid to 6.12.3 and updating the Nvidia drivers.

I'm now going to try a brand new Unraid USB OS to see if there are any changes.

    Thanks again for your help!

Just to rule out this possibility, have you tried clearing browser cache or testing in private browsing? (I know it sounds stupid but sometimes it solves connection issue).

Yes - I have tried all and all. For a moment I also thought it might be a Ubiquiti Gateway security issue...nadda. I have two separate servers Old and New on the same network. Yes, I have cleared all, tried on PC's, Mac's and it's only the browsers that fail with the S1001 S1003 errors. My End users also see exactly the same thing. If they stream with 'Maximum or Unlimited or Direct' there is no issue. ON the Apple TV for example, my server is cool and hums along converting with the Nvidia card remotely and locally

  8. 24 minutes ago, Peuuuur Noel said:

@Jase I see a lot of ns_binding_aborted (page load has been stop), ns_error_connection_refused (refused by server) and even a CORS error (refused by security policy).

Remote web client is not allowed to access your playback content on your local server due to security policy issue.

What you see is exactly the same issue outside with a brand new setup outside of my network. The issue does not exist on my other server not using a NVIDIA graphics card.

    The details are;

    OS: Unraid Version: 6.12.3

MotherBoard and CPU: Supermicro X9DAi E5 Xeon.

    GPU: GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

Ok, so if the issue is only on remote web client, I don't think it's drivers issue but a network issue.

Check if you have network error on your browser by using the Inspector (right click on the page, Inspect) and checking connections in the Network tab while playing a file.

If you look here you can see the logs from Plex. https://forums.plex.tv/uploads/short-url/1j6zdnttxhvMQJT1oUI1UfEGscF.txt

I will give it a go now using the inspector.

I have no idea about Web Browser coding but here is a screen shot from your request.

Which plex container are you running? Official, binhex, linuxserver, etc...?

    Linuxserver and Hotio.

You access to web client through https://app.plex.tv/ (remote plex web server) or local ip address (web client embedded in container)? Remote and local web clients are distinct and may differ.

Both. There is no issue if I access it locally, but, if my users or I access my server via the web through app.plex.tv or my own domain s1001 and s1003 (Network) pop up.

Have you tried to start from a clean plex appdata folder? Stop the container, rename/move/backup plex appdata folder, start it again, claim your server (if needed), create a new library for the test and test a playback.

Sure, I have to compile the v525.x drivers for each Unraid version but I really don't understand why this should be a driver thing that the web client on a maybe far far away machine is not working?

To be honest ich777, please don't go to the trouble of compiling v525.x drivers for me...I feel that this should be fixed by Plex.

A few users lately reported this issue to me and I also think this was a common issue a few years ago right?

I'm not aware of this as I have never seen this issue before.

Did the Plex Team ever say why it is not working with the newer drivers? I really don't understand why it is a driver thing when it is working on native clients but not on the web client, this has to be an issue with their web client from my perspective and not with the driver, hope that also makes sense to you.

It makes total sense for me. I totally agree that the issue is with the Plex Web client that needs to be fixed. It's really not that great that this issue has popped up. I think it will be a slow gradual process of other users complaining when they upgrade to the latest NVIDIA drivers.

I hope that the Plex Dev's will prioritize a fix rather than me and other users asking you to re-compile special drivers for their lack of bug fixes for Plex Server and their web clients on this issue....You should see the state of the Live TV DVR, now that's another conversation. ;)

  13. @ich777Hello! Long time no speak. I hope you are well and thank you so much for all your wonderful efforts for the Unraid community.

I'm chiming into this thread to see if there is a way to downgrade to Nvidia driver 525.60.13 as this is the only version that works with the current version of Plex on Linux/Unraid. Please have a look at this thread over here. My comments start at the bottom '2 months later' (Jase) with some logs.

    https://forums.plex.tv/t/nvidia-hardware-acceleration-inconsistently-working-with-web-streaming/828463/149

The issue is that transcoding does not work with browsers when playing content from Plex. There are no problems however with Hardware client devices like the Apple TV, iOS etc. Any ideas on how to downgrade would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

  15. Hello, I'm hoping that someone could help me through this excerpt from a Kernel crash on my Unraid server. These system wide outages have been happening frequently over the past week and are getting worse. Today, the server was only up for about an half an hour before it froze. So I did this tail -f /var/log/syslog to catch the processes and found quite a run of alarming looking text which I have included in the below attachments. (Diagnostics and my Syslog capture)

I also noticed that under devices/IOMMU there are duplicates (126 times) of my Solarflare controller.

IOMMU group 229:                 [1924:1803] 02:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Solarflare Communications SFC9020 10G Ethernet Controller (Virtual Function)

I'm not sure what is going on but some and any guidance would be much appreciated.

    Unraid version: 6.11.5

    Solarflare: SFN5322F Dual port.

Hi, I too have just stumbled across this permission issue. When the docker container is restarted, the 'postgres' app data folder loses the correct permissions. I'm able to correct this by running chmod -R u-x,go-rwx,go+u,ugo+X '/mnt/user/appdata/postgres' then chown -R nobody:users '/mnt/user/appdata/postgres' but after I restart the container, the permissions are gone. Any help would be appreciated as this was not an issue before.

Hi all, is it just me or is the docker hub integration no longer working?  It seems to just take me to the docker hub page, but not offer any automated way to install a non unraid package like it used to.  I assume I could adjust an existing package and change the url or something but that's not very nice.

Specifically, when I click on the apps page and search for z-push, I get no results.  I used to be able to click the 'click here to get more results from docker hub' and it would include results from there, within the community applications page.  Now, it instead just opens a window at docker hub, which does not allow me to install a package as far as I know.

    Thanks.

Is there a way to downgrade to the previous build of Community applications before the GUI change?
