I tried to turn off the server to replace my RAM and it's stuck at "System is going down... XX" I can't get to the log file itself so I copied what I could see. Does anyone know what the deal is? This is what the log says: Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 27108 .r..m php-fpm Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 27143 .rc.. kworker/u32:6-bond0 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 27144 .rc.. kworker/u32:10-btrfs-endio-meta Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 27237 .rc.. kworker/12:1-rcu_gp Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28907 .rc.. kworker/u32:20-poll_mpt2sas0_statu Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28908 .rc.. kworker/u32:23-btrfs-endio Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28909 .rc.. kworker/u32:25-btrfs-endio Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28911 .rc.. kworker/u32:30-btrfs-endio Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28912 .rc.. kworker/u32:32-btrfs-endio Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28913 .rc.. kworker/u32:33-btrfs-endio-meta Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28914 .rc.. kworker/u32:34-btrfs-endio Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28915 .rc.. kworker/u32:37-kcryptd/254:14 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28917 .rc.. kworker/u32:39-kcryptd/254:14 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 28918 .rc.. kworker/u32:40-kcryptd/254:14 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 29301 .rc.. kworker/4:2-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 29484 .rc.. kworker/5:1-cgroup_destroy Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 29522 .rc.. kworker/12:2-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 30590 .rc.. kworker/5:0-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31038 .rc.. kworker/8:2-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31167 .r..m php-fpm Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31294 .rc.. kworker/0:0-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31557 .rc.. kworker/u32:12-events_power_efficient Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31947 Fr..m tmux: server Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 31951 .rce. bash Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 32223 .rc.. kworker/u32:15-bond0 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 32226 .rc.. kworker/u32:27-btrfs-endio-meta Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: root 32234 .rc.. kworker/0:1-events Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/disk14: root kernel mount /mnt/disk14 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/disk15: root kernel mount /mnt/disk15 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/disk16: root kernel mount /mnt/disk16 Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/disks: root kernel mount /mnt/disks Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/remotes: root kernel mount /mnt/remotes Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: /mnt/rootshare: root kernel mount /mnt/rootshare Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: Active pids left on /dev/md* Jan 6 10:34:54 TrueSource root: Generating diagnostics... I assume I could just (and will probably have to) do an unclean shutdown but I'd like to know what caused this so it doesn't happen again.

When you say open to the GUI, do you mean the unraid GUI specifically? Would leaving something like a Homarr tab open contribute to the problem?

Thanks. Any idea what's going on with these errors? 12:04:50 TrueSource php-fpm[8840]: [WARNING] [pool www] child 5041 exited on signal 9 (SIGKILL) after 12.901833 seconds from start

Thanks! I didn't know they needed to be changed. I'll try that and see how it goes.

I've had quite a bit of trouble accessing my server since adding a dedicated router. Most problems seem to be user error but recently I was unable to access my server at all. I posted about this and wasn't able to find an answer. Ultimately I had to power the server down with the power button on my tower... Everything was OK after the unclean shutdown and I was able to access my server again. Today I started getting error 500 and wasn't really able to ssh in either. I finally loaded ssh and was able to get diagnostics and reboot. It was another unclean shutdown but I can access the server now. I've attached logs and am really hoping someone can tell me what happened so I can prevent this issue from repeating. EDIT: I tried looking through the logs myself and it looks like I'm having the same problem that a lot of others have experienced. This is the error I'm referring to, repeating over and over (there might be more, I don't really know what I'm looking for): 12:04:50 TrueSource php-fpm[8840]: [WARNING] [pool www] child 5041 exited on signal 9 (SIGKILL) after 12.901833 seconds from start I found a bunch of threads related to this but no fixes. It also looks like there is something wrong with disk 7. I'm running a SMART short self-test and I have no idea when it's going to finish. I've attached the existing SMART report which should have relevant info. Pretty sure that this drive needs to be replaced but I'd like to know if it's also contributing to my access issues. truesource-diagnostics-20231207-1149.zip truesource-diagnostics-20231207-1148.zip truesource-smart-20231207-1539.zip

Bummer... I do have it set up on Unraid. I don't think it was set to strict based on the behaviors listed but this gives me something to go on though. I'll see what I can find. Thanks. EDIT: The initial problem is resolved. See this thread for the secondary issue.

How do I do this without access to the server?
-
I hate to bump this topic but I've been trying to set up Pihole and now I can't access the server again. I've removed the router from the equation and am using the original Xfinity box but it isn't finding the device either. I now understand that it won't find it if I'm on the wrong subnet, but as far as I know the subnet hasn't changed and I've never had any problems connecting to the server with the Xfinity box. Even still, I assume the subnet is the problem so I've tried to find information about my server with arp -a and ipconfig/all but as best as I can tell there isn't anything from my server announcing. I tried using wireshark to find information but I probably did something incorrectly... I disabled wifi on a laptop and plugged the server directly into the laptop, then I monitored the connection. I sorted the results by filtering for the MAC address of my server but there were no results. Everything on the ethernet connection appears to be related to the laptop. At this point I just want to access my server. Any ideas? Restarting my server with an unclean shutdown isn't going to help... right?

EDIT: I was able to change the LAN IP to match the LAN IP for my Xfinity box and that got everything working. The responses above are correct but I didn't know how to make the appropriate changes.
-
Both the Deco and Xfinity have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Does that mean this isn't the case or am I looking at the wrong field?
-
I finally added a dedicated router (TP-Link Deco) and put my Xfinity modem/router in bridge mode. Everything works as intended but I can't get my server connected to the new network. When the Xfinity box isn't in bridge mode and I have the server plugged into the Xfinity box, I can access it like I did previously. The connection is a reserved IP (which I'm pretty sure I set years ago in Unraid) and I think this is what's causing me problems. I'm not sure how to resolve the problem though. When the Xfinity box is in bridge mode, connected to the Deco, and the server is plugged into the Deco, I don't have access to the server at all. It isn't listed anywhere as a connected device even though it is physically connected to the Deco. I think I have all relevant MAC addresses, IPs, etc., but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong or what I need to change to get my server recognized as a device on the new network. I can run both networks at the same time but I understand that isn't recommended due to double NAT. What settings do I need to change to get this resolved?

Yea. I'm still missing something really basic then because those combinations don't seem to exist. Transmission doesn't have /data, only /downloads and /config. Sonarr doesn't have /downloads, only /data, /media, /anime, /cartoons, /config. Sonarr - /data /mnt/user/Downloads/ Transmission - /data /mnt/user/Downloads/ Or Sonarr - /downloads /mnt/user/Downloads/ Transmission - /downloads /mnt/user/Downloads/ It seems like I need to add anther path to one of them? Probably Sonarr? EDIT: I just changed the existing Sonarr path wording from data to downloads and this fixed it. Thanks for the help!
-
Thanks for your response. I added /completed/ to Sonarr, deleted the original file and had Sonarr redownload. I'm still getting this error though: |Error|DownloadedEpisodesImportService|Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /downloads/Sonarr/file.mkv. Ensure the path exists and the user running Sonarr has the correct permissions to access this file/folder. Maybe I also have a permission issue?

It seems like there's an easy fix here somewhere but I'm not seeing it. I'm trying to set up Sonarr and the 'Category' I've added to my download client setting inside the Sonarr docker is labled "Sonarr". Per the help text right under the 'Category' space, this will crate a [category] subdirectory in the output directory. My problem is that once the download is completed, it isn't being copied to the final destination folder. With the Category set, the completed file within Transmission has a location listed as: /downloads/Sonarr The problem is that this location doesn't exist... The file was actually downloaded to: /downloads/completed/Sonarr The odd thing is that it seems this has probably been an issue for a while but it hasn't mattered until now. Prior to adding the "Sonar" category, Transmission reports the download location as "/downloads/", even though the files are actually downloaded to "/downloads/completed" Sonarr logs say: Error|DownloadedEpisodesImportService|Import failed, path does not exist or is not accessible by Sonarr: /downloads/Sonarr/file.mkv. Ensure the path exists and the user running Sonarr has the correct permissions to access this file/folder Sonarr is mapped as follows: /data /mnt/user/Downloads/ /media /mnt/user/TV/ /Anime /mnt/user/Anime/ /Cartoons /mnt/user/Cartoons /config /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-sonarr Transmission is mapped as follows: /downloads /mnt/user/Downloads/completed/ /config /mnt/user/appdata/transmission I suspect I've mapped something incorrectly but I've tried renaming some of the paths and haven't had any luck. Why is Transmission reporting a location that it didn't download the file to? What am I doing wrong?

[Support] Linuxserver.io - Transmission
Drogon replied to linuxserver.io's topic in Docker Containers
I wondered about that based on some of the other responses in this thread. I don't have those variables though (up-to-date according to unraid). EDIT: This was posted elsewhere in the thread and fixed my issue. Edit container click on "Add another Path, Port, Variable, Label or Device" --> config type: Variable - name: USER - key: USER - value: usernameofyourchoice - description: leave empty Repeate the same for PASS Restart docker.
