  1. @Hoopster When I use both the Dynamix plugin along with the IPMI Tools to display temperatures and fan speeds in the footer, the two sets of numbers keep flipping for me. In other words, Dynamix sensor information first, then IPMI Tools sensor information. A couple seconds later... IPMI Tools sensor information first, then Dynamix. Does that happen for you? My assumption is it has to do with the sensor refresh, but the flipping of the two sets of numbers is very distracting.
  2. @Hoopster If at all possible, would you please identify which Samsung RAM modules came with the bundle you got off Ebay. Since the bundle is currently not available on ebay, I'm also looking at other options. I was wondering if the Samsung 32GB stick is the exact one mentioned in AsRock's qualified list, or if other versions work. Server memory starts to make my head spin looking not only at speeds, but Rank x Org.
  3. I collected the diagnostic file using the command line. I think I have 2 old sticks of 512MB DDR2 which would get me to 3GB total memory. I may have to try that. I was a little leery of putting 2 additional sticks in the computer due to possible differences in speed, voltage, etc. Some people on the forums have also suggested not using 4 sticks of ram for higher stability. I will definitely run Memtest for an extended period of time to test. I appreciate the information regarding creating a swapfile. Question: Assuming I did create a swapfile via command line (as the GUI is currently unreachable), would that help me regain connection to the GUI? Most places on the forum have stated the web gui cannot be restarted, right? However, a swapfile would help the system (web portion) from crashing in the first place if indeed I do have a memory use problem. Linux is definatley not my first or second language. Is there a command that could use to verify the dynamix web gui was unloaded due to an out of memory condition?
  4. Alright Guys, hoping someone will be willing to help a little. I am running the latest version of Unraid, and periodically the Web interface is becoming unreachable as it is right now. I have been testing two Docker programs (Crashplan and Plex), so there is a possibility they may be a contributing factor. One guess on my part is I am running out of memory. I have 2 GB installed on my machine - although the dashboard generally says I am utilizing 50-65% when I have looked. Unraid shares are still accessible, and I can log on via console (telnet). I am not a guru when it comes to reading the logs and identifying any potential problems, so I was hoping someone would be willing to take a look at the attached diagnostics file. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, John tower-diagnostics-20150727-2059.zip
  5. I just found out how to generate the diagnostic zip file from telnet session. So here it is attached. tower-diagnostics-20150622-1215.zip
  6. Hello all - Coming to the forum to get ideas about why UnRAID's web interface became unresponsive during parity check. I am running the current official version 6 of UnRAID with no plugins / docker / etc. The server booted up just fine for the first time after upgrading from version 5. However, the web interface is now (currently) inaccessible after starting a parity check. The server is accessible from telnet session. I wanted to see if anyone saw anything strange within the attached syslog file. Power supply is an X-series Seasonic, so I don't believe that is the problem. I will run a memtest on the computer after it is determined that no additional information is needed from currently hung machine. I appreciate any insight that could be provided. Thanks! syslog.zip
  7. Congratulations guys on the (soon to be) release of UnRAID 6. I know its been a very long and some times trying road. A lot has changed since the early days of the system, and it's been exciting watching it grow to system it is today. Keep up the good work balancing the wants and needs of us, your users, while maintaining a stable, easy to use base. John
