  1. I've been trying to connect my Synology NAS to Unraid using this plugin without success. I have two options in Synology DSM to connect to a network UPS server, Synology NAS and SNMP. Obviously Unraid isn't a Synology NAS, so that doesn't work (I did try just in case). By default the NUT server doesn't seem to support SNMP either, anyone set this up?

  2. To see if there was a problem with the Unraid container, I deployed the one on HA. I get the same now, only seeing the single docker container in the WebUI (no other details about the Unraid server) and I've seeing these errors in the logs. When I restart the add-on the Unraid server details disappear. I assume something to do with this?

so the two issues I have are:

    1. The Docker WebUI only shows the docker container status.

    2. Home Assistant isn't getting any MQTT data (I can see the successful connection, but that's it)

Its in the first post in this thread, and in the Github readme. I will add it to the template and the webpage

There is a link on the first page, you are right, it's just not very clear that the version has to match your install. I read it as the container version, not the unraid version :)

@emilgil env variable in the template. 20 000 should be 20 seconds

Also you are running the tag 6.11 with unraid 6.12. They have to match

Thanks, there's nothing in the documentation I read that explains that. :)

I've made those changes, just downloading the new container.

@Puntoboy can you check the config folder if there are any files? You could try wiping them also. You could enable writing the HTML files with the WRITE_HTML_OUTPUT=true environmental variable. That will generate more logs about the scraping.

You can share these logs privately with me for more debugging.

Sorry for the stupid question, but how can I browse to the config files?

    I've added that variable.

Snippet from the log file I have found

  6. I've had my Unraid server setup for a couple of years now, but it's been turned off for several months. I first noticed this issue a couple of months ago after I started using it again but I keep finding it's going offline. It will power up, start a parity check then anywhere from 20 minutes to 4 hours later it will stop responding on the network. It's still powered on, the IPMI is responding, but the Unraid GUI isn't and pinging the interfaces doesn't work either. Only way to recover is a reboot via the IPMI which is essentially just a power off and on (not shutdown). I've just deployed my first and only Docker image on there as well and that stops responding as well.

    Any ideas?

The server has 3 NICs (4 inc the IPMI). 2 10GB ports on an PCI card and one E1000 1GB NIC onboard. All 3 stop responding, so I fear it's an Unraid OS hang or something.

I've updated the OS to the latest (6.12.10) but it's still doing it.

  7. Hello,

I'm having no joy getting this to work. The documentation isn't very clear and, certain on my server, the Docker image isn't working correctly.

I added the Management Server app from the CA then added the Docker image using the image from the OP here (not the old one). Added the environment variables for my MQTT broker and started the container. But when I connect, there's nothing there. The webpage loads, I enter my server details, it says connected but that's it. Nothing populates. If wait, nothing happens, if I refresh the server details on "setup unraid server" disappear.

On the Home Assistant side, I cannot get the add-on to install at all. I wasn't sure if there was a newer add-on I should be using.

  8. Can anyone see an problem with my plan?

    • MSI Z690 Mini ITX board
    • Compatible Intel 12th gen CPU (open to suggestions on which one)
    • Innodisk m.2 10GBE adapter (uses a Marvell AQtion Ethernet Controller which I believe is supported by Unraid)
    • LSI Logic SAS9200-8E

    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MEG-Z690I-UNIFY

    https://www.innodisk.com/en/products/embedded-peripheral/communication/egpl-t101

Reason for ITX is case size, I need a small rackmount case and there is more choice with ITX over Micro-ATX. Problem is I need two PCI-E slots, unless the board has 10GBE, which again, limits the choice.

  9. So I have finally narrowed down my search to this motherboard and CPU.

    Intel Xeon E-2246G https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/191043/intel-xeon-e2246g-processor-12m-cache-3-60-ghz.html

    ASUS P11C-M/10G-2T https://www.asus.com/uk/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/P11C-M-10G-2T/

Case will be a 1U short depth chassis, which only has a single PCI-E card you can install, hence the need for either a SAS controller or 10GBe onboard (I went for 10GBe as I couldn't find one with SAS controller).

  10. I've been looking around and I'm swaying towards the following:

    ASUS P11C-I Motherboard - https://www.asus.com/uk/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/P11C-I/

It has an onboard Mini-SAS HD connector that I can use to conenct to my SAS Expander

    Intel Xeon E-2146G CPU

    https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/134866/intel-xeon-e2146g-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-50-ghz.html

Any reason why this combo wouldn't work?

  11. I'm really stuck for which motherboard and CPU to go for.

I need Micro-ATX for two controller cards but otherwise my requirements are pretty flexible. The chassis is a 2U SuperMicro server with a SAS Expander backplane.

I'll have 50TB+ of storage (currently 5 x 14TB drives plus SSD Cache). I'd like IPMI, so that kinda sways me towards a server board. I'll be running Plex (no transcoding - Direct Play), a VM for Home Asssitant, and Docker containers for Sonarr, Radarr x2, NZBGet, a possibly a few other lightweight Docker containers.

Not sure whether to go for Intel or Ryzen (or EPYC?). I was kinda swaying towards an E-2104G but not confirmed. So my options are kinda open.

Anything I should consider? Obviously low idle power should be good. Is LGA 1151 a good choice?
