Hi wonder if someone can help me with problem I have I'm in middle of new build and one of the cable ties has nicked one of the sata power cables will I have to buy new PSU unit or will it be ok to use once it powers up any help in this matter would be appreciated thanks

A cable tie has nicked a cable???  (I find this a bit incredulous.)   Can you see the wire inside the cable?  Have any of the strands been cut?  Is it a case of cold-flow of the thermoplastic insulation?

The images are really grainy and out of focus Its hard to actually tell what you are talking about.

I have split the posts you made in that other old thread into this new thread you started. Please don't post about the same problem in multiple places. It makes it impossible to coordinate responses. "Crossposting" has been considered bad form on message boards since before the World Wide Web.

I have 2 new photos which I hope are alot clearer to show wire any help in this matter would be appreciated thank you and I'm sorry if I posted in several posts I'm new to posting

I honestly cant see that causing a problem, it almost looks cosmetic. Its a wire inside plastic. Unless somehow that wire touches something else conductive nothing will happen.
