SPOautos
Is it possible to set up a cron job to access another server across the internet via FTP and download the files there and save them to a specific share on my Unraid server? I have a cpanel hosting several companies email (family companies) and I make automated daily backups of email but its taking up too much space so I want to save the backups to my Unraid since its has a lot of available space. The cpanel can be setup to make the backups available to FTP access where you can log in via FTP and download them. I'm wondering if I can set up a cron job on my Unraid to access that FTP, download the backup files, then close the connection, and save them in a specific share. Anyone know if that's possible??? Squid
Just use the curl command https://linux.die.net/man/1/curl eg: https://superuser.com/questions/265062/downloading-file-from-ftp-using-curl Quote Link to comment
