Hi!

I would love to get this running on my Gen8 Microserver, I am currently running 6.9.2 so cannot see the kernal helper in the app section, would it be visable if I changed to 6.10.0-rc3?  there are no other options in the update os branch?

Many thanks 🙂

Any updates on this for 6.10? I didn't find this thread until after I got my dl360p g8 up and running with 6.10rc :(

the very first post says "Installation (procedure used for unRaid 6.9.0 RC 2 and up to current stable versions, previous versions not supported). This thread will be updated/deprecated when 6.10 goes stable to reflect the changes with that version."

The patch is a part of the OS currently in the RC versions, so technically it should work if you follow step 4 and 6 in the first post, rebooting after step 4.

I sold my last proliant a year ago, and don't always run RC versions so I don't have the ability to test at the moment, hence why RC is not supported (plus things can unexpectedly change from version to version.)

If you do try steps 4 and 5, kindly report back the results.

After adding 'append intel_iommu=relax_rmrr initrd=/bzroot' to Syslinux on the boot drive I was able to pass my GPU without issue. My VMs are still running terribly, but I feel that's a seperate issue.

First post updated with instructions for 6.10.

Hi,

Sorry to be a dunce but can I clarify before going ahead as this machine runs the router (Sophos) and will have no internet access if it doesn't work!

I am currently running Version: 6.10.0-rc3 on my Gen8 with this line in the Unraid OS section of Syslinux

append initrd=/bzroot pcie_acs_override=downstream intel_iommu=relax_rmrr

If I update to the latest version of OS 6.11.5, change the line to

append intel_iommu=relax_rmrr initrd=/bzroot

then reboot, should I be good to go?

Thanks in advance!

I think thats all you have to do, but since I stopped using it and did a long time ago I can't remember.

Why not just grab a spare USB and test it using the trial.
