February 3, 201115 yr Basically I want my movies folder to be viewed as 1 folder, even though it is spread over multiple drives. For my NAS to function correctly, everything needs to be in the same folder. Is there a way so that when I go from the Network, I can view the movies folder and both disks contents will be displayed in there?
February 3, 201115 yr You can use the user shares functionality to accomplish this. It's in the standard unRaid documentation - http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=Building_an_unRAID_Server .

February 3, 201115 yr if you leave included disks empty, unraid will use every available disk for the user share. if you want the files of that share only on disk 1 and disk 2, you put in "disk1,disk2". check the wiki for allocation methode and split level, since these are important to (i would leave allocation methode on high water and split level depends on your needs).
February 3, 201115 yr The list of disks only applies to where unRaid can write new files. All disks that contain files in a root level share directory will be included in the share.
February 3, 201115 yr Author So what do I do? Just make the same root folder on each disk and it will automatically combine them?

February 3, 201115 yr Author And turn on user shares. I did. For the Users tab, it just asks me to enter a password. How do I make access right for different users? I've read the wiki/fag but all it shows is User name: root Password: Retype password: Nothing more. When I type a password in, will it then allow me to add users? And if I do so, will I need to enter the password everytime I access the shares?
February 3, 201115 yr First enable user-shares under "share-settings" on the "settings" tab/link, then it will let you add users. Joe L.

On the "Settings" page, set "Share Security" to "User Level" (You must stop the array to change the setting) Then, when you start the array you'll be able to add "users" on the "Users" page.
