[SOLVED] UNRAID not detecting 3090

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm sure I'm missing something glaringly obvious but I'm not having much luck correcting it on my own.

My machine has been running great with a GTX 760, but thought it was time for an upgrade. So I've moved the 760 to slot two on the MB and installed in slot one a Gigabyte 3090.

After a reboot, the cards are spinning up and I log into UNRAID. Unfortunately however there's no sign/detection of the 3090;

I've has a look in the NVIDIA plugin, but that only reports the 760;

For reference, my system info shows the following;

Before I start delving into settings/bios and changing things I don't quite understand, I thought best to ask here first.

Many thanks.

In all the excitement one of the 27 power connectors for the card was loose. After I seated it correctly, my MB gave me the following error;

PCI resource allocation error. Out of Resources

As such, I was forced to remove the GTX 760, upon doing so however, the machine will only boot into the bios. I have tried enabling CSM mode instead of UEFI and I've even created two new UNRAID usbs, one allowing UEFI and one without, none work.

I have cleared the CMOS and started fresh, however the machine just boots directly into the bios.

For reference I have an MSI Z490 GODLIKE motherboard.

I'm really stuck.

***EDIT***

I read that the above error can be corrected by disabling "fast boot" and so I reinstalled the 760 and went into the bios, however that option was already disabled. Strangely I'm not getting the error anymore.

I can boot UNRAID however I have to manually select the UNRAID usb within the bios to do it? I have checked and double checked the boot options but I can't see what is preventing it booting on its own.

The good news is the 3090 is now showing up and I can get to work using @SpaceInvaderOne VBIOS dump script.

I'll continue with the boot problem later, I want to try this card out.
