Parity is Disabled

Recommended Posts

I have a completely fresh install of Unraid,

I have 2 completely empty disks, that i formatted with xfs before attempting this.

I have 1 disk as parity and 1 as Disk1. When i attempt to start array, parity refuses to sync.

This is my 2 drives, before stopping and placing one into parity slot.

And here it gives up the ghost:

Not sure what this means, but this is some sort of log the drive is kicking out:

Update: I put in a LSI card I bought a couple months ago, with intentions to put in at some stage.

I put it in yesterday, and it seems removing it and going back to good old SATA connections straight to the MOBO, is working. Currently 40GB into the parity check.

Maybe i'm a idiot and don't know how to setup a LSI card, but i didn't think there was any setting up to do!!
