mostdubs Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 Randomly had a write failure leading to this drive being disabled. New and first unraid build. Was messing around on a VM, unplugged a pass through USB device and this happened. Could have been a coincidence, maybe not? Drive is only 9 months old. My other 3 drives threw up warnings at the same time, should have taken a screen shot but didnt. I think they were write warnings? Would that make sense? Ive done a few short SMART tests since this happened and they all come back okay. a Long test says it will take 17 hours. Should I just try and rebuild with the same disk or replace to be safe? It's already using a new SATA cable, but it is a cheapy off Amazon Quote Link to comment

I have attached the full diagnostics, hopefully this is the right way to do it.
