khushaal
I have had UnRaid running for a few years with a 280gb Intel optane drive running infront of the array as a cache pool. My write volumes have been going up lately and I find myself running into more days where I have to manually trigger the mover to prevent the cache filling out. To manage this, I have added a 2tb Crucial P5 and added it to my cache pool in single configuration. My cache writes are now going to the Crucial drive first (maybe high water behavior, that is what my main array is set for). I would like to fill up my optane drive before writing to the larger Crucial drive for both speed and drive longevity reasons. Is it possible to configure the cache pool to fill up a particular cache drive first? Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Not that I'm aware of. If your writes are headed to multiple shares, or could be configured that way, then 6.9 would allow you to separate out the two drives into individual pools, each with a set of target shares.
