MSI H55M-ED55 BIOS settings?

Featured Replies

I finally took the plunge and ordered hardware for a 20-drive unRaid box. The hardware I chose was based on good reports by others on this forum.

Can someone can let me know what BIOS settings I'll need to modify for the MSI H55M-ED55 mobo?

I plan on starting with the latest unRaid 5.0 beta version, since I'm using the Samsung F4 advanced format h/d's.

Here's the hardware list:

Norco 4220 case

CORSAIR CMPSU-750HX p/s

MSI H55M-ED55 motherboard

Intel Core i3-550

Crucial CT2KIT25664BA1339 x2 (4GB)

SUPERMICRO AOC-SASLP-MV8 x2

SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD204UI 2TB h/d's

Thanks, Mark RS

4.7 supports advanced format drives (along with a new pre-clear by JoeL).  Since this is a new build, I'd start with 4.7 to minimize the variables when troubleshooting.

You'll want to make sure you have AHCI enabled for the SATA Ports.

After your USB flash drive is configured, in BIOS make sure it's set as the first boot device.

You should start off with unRAID 4.7 instead of the 5.0 beta series.
