Fix Common Problems - unRaid's built in FTP server is currently disabled, but users are defined

Featured Replies

In Fix Common Problems I am geting "unRaid's built in FTP server is currently disabled, but users are defined".

Awhile ago I did have two users - root and zack - but I deleted zack but still seeing this?

I did ignore it some time ago and when I click on "monitor / warning error" nothing happens? Is this not being adjusted (and thus stuck) as I ignored it?

Or is it also picking up the "root" user?

I feel like an idiot asking this. 🙂

Thanks!

Tagging on here in the hope of responses relevant to this thread: I'm trying to understand UnRAID's FTP service.

I notice that there are several FTP dockers available in the Apps Store, although I see from /etc/inetd.conf that UnRAID offers the option to run a choice of two FTP servers (vsftpd and proftpd).

What advantages do the dockers offer in this context?

If you're not using it anymore, just delete /config/vsftpd..user_list from the flash drive

Your positive about that?  And a rescan still brings up the same message within the Warning / Ignored area (not ALL ignored)

It is showing in "All Ignored Errors & Warnings". But clicking on the "Monitor Error / Warning" does not do anything.

Hw can I delete it from "All Ignored Errors & Warnings"? Thanks!

It's not supposed to do that(tm)

Should be fixed next rev  But, you're going to wind up being stuck with that always displaying in all ignored errors in there unless you delete /boot/config/plugins/fix.common.problems/ignoreList.json
