Accsessing services on a vm

Featured Replies

I am running Ubuntu server 20.04 inside of a vm. On this I am trying to run a proxy server and other services that require ports. I have tried disabling the firewall (temporarily of course) and allowing port 8118 though ufw. I have tried both br0 and virt0 bridges to no avail. I am relatively new to unraid so any help is greatly appreciated.

Is your VM successfully obtaining an IP address from the DHCP service on your router? If you are using br0, it should act exactly like a standalone PC on the network. No interaction with Unraid's IP at all.

Thanks for the help I ended up plugging my server directly into router that was running the DHCP server.
