11011san
Hi, I have been running an Unraid server for 7 months now and upgraded to the new version. When I restarted the server it looked ok. With my docker containers came up and responding normally. Then I realized that from my main computer I had access to no shares. I checked the UI and couldn't see any at all shares. shares are turned on as far as I could see. I found the config files in /flash/config/shares/ and I find the data. I found some post about similar things, and tryied restarted as they suggested about 3-4 times tried restoring the old version. but still in the same state with no shares. Restarted 2-3 times in the old version same thing. Never any shares. nas-diagnostics-20210403-1614.zip nas-diagnostics-20210403-1855.zip Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Remove this line from config/share.cfg: shfs_logging="1" I seem to remember this could cause issues. Quote Link to comment
11011san
I have now tried restarting with the line commented out and set to 0. Neither has made my shares appear. Thank you for the suggestion any more? Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Not really, /mnt/user is working and don't see any shfs errors, is it the same if you boot in safe mode? Quote Link to comment

Thank you for the suggestion any more? Just to check that you do not have a ad-blocker installed in your browser? While this would not explain the shares not being visible on the network it could explain them not being visible in the webGUI. Some ad-blockers do not seem to like the Shares tab in the webGUI If you do have such an ad-blocker installed then you need to whitelist the unRaid server to fix displaying the Shares in the webGUI. But thank you both for your suggestions any more? Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Are you accessing the server by name or IP address from your main computer? If using server name it might be worth trying the IP address in case there are some name resolution issues. If your server has a fixed IP address then using the IP address always seems to be more reliable. Quote Link to comment

The hostname is set into my DNS and is stable. But I did try the IP address and it the same. If the host was wrong I wouldn't be able to connect or connect to the wrong machine but I do see flash share so I know it is the correct machine. Thank you for the suggestion any more? 11011san
Thank you JorgeB, that was the problem. I reset the directory to 777 and all appeared again with a restart. Thank you very much. I was really confused about this problem. I'll try upgrading again now. 1 Quote Link to comment
