[SOLVED] Ubuntu connects through 1G switch, but not directly (to enable 10G)

Recommended Posts

I've recently joined the unraid army with a goal to set-up 2 connections between ubuntu and unraid:

  • unraid <-> switch (1G) <-> ubuntu for external connections
  • unraid (10G card) <-> ubuntu (10G card) for fast local file transfer

To make it happen, I've followed Spaceinvader guide (for Windows and MacOs), however it doesn't seem to work on ubuntu.

  1. I've set up eth1 connection on unraid (10G card)...

  2. ...then on ubuntu...

  3. ... and nothing, even ping doesn't work

Any suggestions what I did wrong / what should I do?
