lungnut
Hi, using Unraid 4.5.6 and have a cache drive that has 90GB worth of data on it, but when I go and check to see what is on the cache drive, I don't see any files or folders. Windows 7 Pro reports in Explorer that "The folder is empty" when I view the cache drive's contents; zero items, zero bytes. I remember viewing my cache drive's contents in the past. What am I missing? Thanks, guys! Link to comment
joshpond
Hi, How do you know there are files on there? Are the files hidden? From memory and this is a long time ago as I've not had a cache drive for a while, unRAID won't move a folder with a . in front of it and I think?? that makes it hidden for windows. lungnut
I know there are files on my cache because in the Unraid web interface, the amount free on the cache is 90GB short of its size. I definitely remember in the past looking at my cache drive's contents. It's strange that I can't any longer. Link to comment
PeterB
Try logging in to your unRAID server via telnet, then use the command: 'ls -laR /mnt/cache'. This will show you what files are on the disk. Link to comment
lionelhutz
You can change the settings in Windows to show hidden files and folders. Peter Link to comment
lungnut
I should have mentioned that I do have the "show hidden files" toggled on. Like I said, it seems that the web interface is implying that there's 90GB's worth of something on the drive, but when I look in explorer, there is nothing there. Maybe there is nothing there and the web interface is just reporting bad data? Link to comment
