Disk Error

Featured Replies

Hi. I just installed unRAID on my recent build. Trying to create an array with all HDDs, 1 SSD for cache and 1 unused SSD. However I am unable to sync my parity disk because of a disk error. The disks were working fine under TrueNAS SCALE.

Output of diagnostics is attached below.

It looks as if all the drives have dropped offline.    This suggests it is something that is common to all the drives such as the power, disk controller, etc

It's not a disk problem, all disks connected to the JMicron controllers are timing out:

These controllers usually work great with Unraid, how are the disks powered?

How is the backplane powered ?

Do you have all power connectors in ?

Are you using splitters ?

It's powered with 3 SATA power connectors (2 of them are using splitters) and a sperate molex power connector. All power connectors are plugged in.

Try connecting some of the disks to the onboard SATA controller, then try again to see if the errors stay with the JMB controller.

For other users that may have a similar problem in the future, what was your issue ?

I don't really know actually. I just have this problem randomly and searching doesn't do much.
