(SOLVED) Disk read errors

Featured Replies

This morning I woke up to read errors on disk 3of my Unraid. What are the steps I should take to resolve this?

Looks more like a power/connection problem, check/replace cables and if the emulated disk is still mounting rebuild on top.

You also need to check filesystem on disk2.

Thanks you very much. I'll be able to try a different PSU and power cables tomorrow or the day after. Hopefully it'll be related to that rather than the RAID card or its cables.

Don't wait too long. You are currently running with no parity protection since you have single parity and a disabled disk.

Unfortunately I won't have the hardware before then, or I would do it right away. I appreciate the heads-up though.

I've installed the new PSU and accompanying cables, and did a filesystem check on disk 2, reporting no errors. Disk 3 has finished rebuilding and everything looks good for the time being. Is there any way to tell if the problem's been solved, other than waiting for an error to occur?

This and you can monitor/post the logs to look for any remaining disk issues.
