April 1, 201115 yr One way is to right click on the movies share and select Map network drive. Others may provide different options.
April 1, 201115 yr Author One way is to right click on the movies share and select Map network drive. Others may provide different options. Yes that works. I would then have to add each share as a separate drive. I guess I am just use to windows file sharing where my shares show up in the Network section
April 1, 201115 yr Windows Live Assistant installed? What is your network location? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Choosing-a-network-location

What is your network location? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Choosing-a-network-location I havnt installed Windows Live Assistant. Wasnt aware of its need for anything. My network location is a home network. In my Network area I see my PC's and other devices. But I do not see my wife's Macs or my UNraid box
April 2, 201115 yr I believe it was automatically installed with a Windows update or if you have Windows Live Essentials installed. https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7577
April 2, 201115 yr Author But again why do I need it. Or my bigger question can you see your Unraid box in the Windows Network explorer? Can anyone?
April 2, 201115 yr I can, but I have XP Pro. Live Assistant details: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=9ba199ef-3086-4f12-970d-8745be104600#QuickDetails It broke many media player samba connections at the time (WDTV Live, Boxee, etc)
April 2, 201115 yr I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium with all current updates. I just repaired Windows Live Essentials. Should I have Windows Live Sign-in Assistant?
April 2, 201115 yr Only you can answer that - but here is what Live Essentials and Assistant includes: Windows Live Sign-in Assistant is part of Windows Live Essentials, which also includes Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, Family Safety, Windows Live Mesh, Bing Bar, Messenger Companion, Microsoft Silverlight, and Outlook Connector Pack (Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector and Social Connector Provider for Windows Live Messenger). During installation you can choose which of these programs you want. I'll look back into the WDTV forums for alternative fixes. btw, unRAID 4.7 uses smbd v3.4.5, this bug wasn't fixed until 3.4.10 http://www.samba.org/samba/history/samba-3.4.10.html Some additional info: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?t=54605 http://community.wdc.com/t5/General-Discussions/WDTVLIVE-and-windows-7-Ultimate-will-not-allow-login-anymore/td-p/71276
