DId you set the IP address as 192.168.1.4?  What is your router IP starting address or range?

My router DHCP strats over 100.  I use ip addresses under 100 for my static ip addressed devices.  I set the server to the 192.168.1.4 address.

One way is to right click on the movies share and select Map network drive. Others may provide different options.

Yes that works.  I would then have to add each share as a separate drive.  I guess I am just use to windows file sharing where my shares show up in the Network section

Mine don't show up either. I never tried to fix it.

I have mine set to Home. How do I determine if Windows Live Assistant is installed?

Add/Remove programs.  May have to "re-install/uninstall" Windows Live Essentials

There are other registry hacks, but one of the recent SAMBA releases fixes this.

What is your network location?

I havnt installed Windows Live Assistant.  Wasnt aware of its need for anything.  My network location is a home network.  In my Network area I see my PC's and other devices.  But I do not see my wife's Macs or my UNraid box

But again why do I need it.  Or my bigger question can you see your Unraid box in the Windows Network explorer?  Can anyone?

I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium with all current updates. I just repaired Windows Live Essentials. Should I have Windows Live Sign-in Assistant?

Only you can answer that - but here is what Live Essentials and Assistant includes:

Windows Live Sign-in Assistant is part of Windows Live Essentials, which also includes Windows Live Messenger, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Mail, Writer, Family Safety, Windows Live Mesh, Bing Bar, Messenger Companion, Microsoft Silverlight, and Outlook Connector Pack (Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector and Social Connector Provider for Windows Live Messenger). During installation you can choose which of these programs you want.

I'll look back into the WDTV forums for alternative fixes.

btw, unRAID 4.7 uses smbd v3.4.5, this bug wasn't fixed until 3.4.10
