[SOLVED] Can I use Cache Drive, but disable Mover Script?

Featured Replies

I've not had good luck with the mover script in the past, and I'd really like to just manage moving my files from my Cache Drive to the Disk Shares Manually, but am now using the Cache Drive for some apps, and I like the faster write speeds.

Is this possible, and if so, how do I disable the mover script?

Have you tried blanking the mover schedule in the Shares tab? I haven't, but it might work at the cost of cron generating junk in your syslog.

BTW, I found my own problems with mover filling disks were caused by not configuring my split levels and min free sensibly. What problems are you seeing?

I would put

#0 0 0 0 0 exit;

in the mover schedule

It will probably just comment out the entry it does make in the crontab file.

Yes... I now have tons of these in my syslog...
