Problem when I start plex media server

Featured Replies

Hello,

Plex does not want to start and shows me this error:

Starting Plex Media Server.
PMS: failure detected. Read/write access is required for path: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server

Do you have an idea of what I can do to solve the problem ?

I have check many logs and I have a "read only file" but I don't know where...

Your cache has corruption. And your appdata and system shares have files on the array.

And, you seem to have to shares with the same name but different upper/lower case.

Also, you didn't mention it, but your parity is disabled.

Go to User Shares, click Compute All, wait for the results, and post a screenshot.

yes I deleted the duplicate folder after sending the diagnostic ...
For the parity disk, it is dead. I have to order another one but I don't think that the problem comes from there.

I join the screenshot. I don't say why MEDIA is in private but that does not solve the problem :(

Hi

I have just updated to 6.10.2 and am not getting the same error:

PMS: failure detected. Read/write access is required for path: /config/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server
Stopping Plex Media Server.

My diagnostics and shares attached for support.

screenshot added of Docker

For anyone else, I got this working by the following

chown -R nobody:users {DIR}

then

chmod - R 0777 {DIR}
