iron_man
We had a power failure and my NAS didn't shut down correctly. In firing it back up it jumped into a parity check which shouldn't be a problem but it got progressively slower and said it'd be 32 days. I tried to cancel the check but it's stuck in the Unraid logo "loading" image in the GUI. On the server itself I have put in diagnostics and it says that's running but it's been hours. I know I can unplug the USB and get the file on another computer but I'm not sure if there's some other command I should try first as the only way I know to shut it down is to hard power off the machine. JorgeB
Copy the syslog to the flash drive in case the diags aren't saved: cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt Quote Link to comment

I added that line and hit enter but it didn't prompt anything. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Open another ssh session and/or use the keyboard/mouse. Quote Link to comment

Are you talking about in the GUI? Sorry for being dense. I can follow well and base level stuff in this world but not super deep. Quote Link to comment

The GUI is still operational so I opened terminal there and put in cd /boot/config/ssh Then "reboot" and now it's giving me "The system is going down for reboot NOW!" message but it's not doing anything.
