smush
I added a new disk to my array recently. My other disks are xfs encrypted with a password however after adding this new disk I made it XFS encrypted but not once has it asked me to set a password does it automatically use the same one as the other disks? I’ve also noticed how when I stop the array it doesn’t ask for a password when I come to start it again. Quote Link to comment

Yes, it's the same pass for all disks. 1 hour ago, smush said: I’ve also noticed how when I stop the array it doesn’t ask for a password when I come to start it again. It will after a reboot. smush
Thanks. This is the first time I've added a new disk after setting up my NAS for the first time a year or so ago. My current disk is about 95% full and I'm not sure what to do next do I just include the new disk in my user shares and then proceed as I am or do I rebalance the data between the old and new disk (if that is even a thing?) JorgeB
Just add the disk and the shares will then start to write to it depending on the split level and allocation method set. Quote Link to comment
