Machine Check Events detected on your server

Recommended Posts

Ran fix common problems on my server today and got the error Machine Check Events detected on your server: Your server has detected hardware errors. You should install mcelog via the NerdPack plugin, post your diagnostics and ask for assistance on the unRaid forums. The output of mcelog (if installed) has been logged. I think its something about CPU but don't fully understand what I'm looking at. Diagnostics attached and would really appreciate if someone could take a look for me!

Happened during processor initialization.  This affects certain combinations of hardware on occasion and is not an issue.

I was hoping it was an issue. Ever since I booted up the server, it crashes every 2-3 hours and I have to hard restart it. Unresponsive from GUI or SSH. Is there anything in my diagnostics otherwise that could explain those crashes?

Sounds like C States or PS Idle issues see here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-819173

Will check on this today and see if it helps out!

(And it also never hurts to run a memtest for a couple of passes... Most people always assume memory is good)

I let it run for a full 24 hours and didn't come up with any errors so hopefully good on the memory front.
