nkov
Hey, This is my first time trying to set up an unraid server. I seem to encountering an issue where after creating the usb stick with unraid, and booting it on my new computer, after several minutes of idle it says Broadcast message from root@Tower (timestamp): The system is going down for system half NOW! INIT: Sending processes configured via /etc/inittab the TERM signal Running shut down script /etc/rc.d/rc.0 and it starts shutting down and unmounting until it just powers off. I've tried installing the stable version, and the 6.10.rc.2 version and I seem to be experiencing the same behaviour sadly.. Has anyone encountered a similar behaviour? I haven't managed to find anything about this online. Some extra details, I'm running on cpu: Intel i5-12600 mobo: ASUS ROG Strix B660-I ram: Trident z5 ddr5 32gb Corsair rm550x 550w With a 18tb hdd mounted, and a Samsung 980 M.2 The flash disk being used for unraid is a Sandisk Cruzer Fit 16gb usb 2.0 another thing to mention, I tried testing for hardware instability by installing Windows 10 and letting it run overnight while pinging a website, it worked like a charm Edited February 11, 2022 by nkov Quote Link to comment

This implies that the system is shutting down due to user input or someone / something (child, cat, poltergeist) pressing the power switch. Alternatively I suppose the same message could happen if the CPU itself decides to powerdown the system due to thermal overload. Quote Link to comment
