HBA PERC H310 and RES2SV240 connection

Hello,

 

I have a Perc H310 sas card, in order to expand port I have bought Intel RES2SV240 sas expander, I have connect port A of PERC H310 (IT mode flashed) with a port of RES2SV240, then I connect my Hard disc to other ports in RES2SV240 expander and all work fine; when I try to use the port B pf PERC H310 the other disk doesn't work, why ? 

 

Can I use 2 RES2SV240 expander card in the same machine ?

It should, does it work if you connect disks directly to that HBA port?

Yes, even on the same HBA, one connected to each port, or by cascading them, but cascading is worst for performance.
