Bought a Basic licence but now I can't use it?

Featured Replies

Hi

I just bought a basic licence, paid for it with paypal and tried to put the code in and it says I have too many connected devices, even though there's 6 connected included the parity drive? Can someone explain or help please? image.thumb.png.ef11011cea207a2aad1b6484db3fc40a.png

Hey there! Thanks for your purchase. On your Tools-> Registration page under Flash GUID,  how many devices are listed?

You should post your diagnostics so we can see what is going on.

note that ALL drives connected to the server count towards the limit regardless of whether they are being used by Unraid.

Sorry- under the GUID column it should say "This server has ___ attached storage devices."

Thank you so much SpencerJ! It's working now. Physically removed the NVMe. In hindsight though, I should have bought a higher licence. I have 5 X 14Tb's + 1 X 14Tb parity .. this means, because total count = 6, I cannot add another 14Tb, right? I really should have bought the Pro licence. I can't afford it this pay, I'll hold off for another couple of weeks. Thank you for all your help. I really enjoy this software, invested a lot of money into the hardware, it's in a schmexy 4U RM chassis too, but now I really need to put the time into learning how to use it properly.

Thanks again!

You can always upgrade Basic licence to Plus ($39 USD, 12 drives) or Pro ($79 USD)
