How do you actually view a passedthrough GPU?

Featured Replies

Greetings,

I'm about to embark down this 'passthrough' road. But I don't understand how you actually use the passthrough GPU. Do you have to be at the UnRaid server with a monitor hooked into the GPU? Or do you view it through some other method like a VNC session?

Thanks for you feedback.

You pass it through to a VM to use and Unraid doesn't have access to it. So if you were passing it to a Windows VM, then Windows would appear on the monitor attach to the GPU.

You can also access it remotely all the normal ways you would remotely work with a regular PC, be it remote desktop, nomachine, whatever remote access client you wish to install on the VM, just like you would any other PC.
