Recover files using cache pool?

Featured Replies

Hello friends,

I'm running Nextcloud on an UnRAID server with a btrfs cache pool of 2 SSD's.

This morning my Nextcloud data got corrupt and now I can no longer see most of my saved files and photos uploaded to the Nextcloud server.

Is it possible to restore the main SSD to its state from yesterday using the second SSD in the cache pool?

I really hope someone can help with this issue.

I might have lost very important files 😱

It's not possible using redundancy, it would be possible using a previous snapshot, but I assume you were not creating those, if not you can do it for the future with for example the snapshot plugin.

You should always have a backup of anything important and irreplaceable. Redundancy, whether btrfs raid or parity, is not a substitute for backups.
